    VGA+VGA+S-Video, is it possible

    Hello,

Like many, I own an All-In-Wonder Radeon X800 XT. In the user manual, it says that using two VGA monitors and a S-video device simultaneously isn't possible. Is there a way to hack the drivers so I can use the S-Video connection without being forced to disabled any of my VGA connections. It seems that I can do DVI+VGA+S-Video but not VGA+VGA+S-VIDEO. Hmm... I don't have a DVI monitor. So what to do ???

    Thanks....

Well..if this helps, I've looked all over google and found nothing. You'd need another (pci) card to drive a 3rd monitor/tv whatever it is.

But that dosen't mean its can't support a third source, its just means that one source is going to have to clone another...

I think the easiest/cheapest route might be a simple DVI/VGA converter plug. I think I've seen them for under $10 US.

You might have got one in the box with your vid card.
OTOH, the gender might be reversed.

Do not use that DVI-VGA converter, because then you still have a total of three analog sources, which is not so much impossible, but simply forbidden by ATI: theoretically you could use three analog sources, as you say cloned, but the card/chip simply doesn't have enough power to drive them all at the same time, risking an overload. Digital requires less power, meaning three sources is only possible if one is digital.
