    Frustration++ HDTV Wonder

I bought the Ati HDTV Wonder 5 months back and unfortunately, my job keeps me from having too much time with my computer since. But for the love of god, i CANNOT get it going. The hdtv driver that is installed doesn't recognize the card despite the fact that WinXP Pro registers new hardware once I put the card in.

    Here are my specs:

    Athlon64 X2 3800+
    Asrock Dual939SATA2
    Radeon AIW x800xl
    2gb of ddr400
    250gb WD
    Audigy

I have also tried it on my other systems:

    Athlon64 X2 4200+
    DFI Infinity Ultra M2
    1GB DDR2
    Geforce 7800GT
    150GB Raptor
    X-Fi

    and

    Opteron 146
    Chaintech VNF4
    2 x 512MB DDR
    Geforce 6800GS
    250GB WD SATA2
    Audigy 2

Now, I thought that by not having a Radeon card may have caused the problem. But it doesn't work with my x800xl as well.

Can another PLEASE provide me with a step-by-step installation? I have tried the original cd, downloaded drivers to no avail. SOOOO Frustrated.

    Anyways, please help.
    Your ignorance is painful.

Which driver are you using? If you are running MMC 9.13 or newer you can used the current driver 2 of 5 off the ATI web site. If you are running an older MMC go to previous drivers and select the proper driver that lines up with the right MMC. If you are using the All in Wonder video card everything else will already be loaded. And it should work fine.

I am running the AIW X1900 with the HDTV Wonder-MMC 9.13 and using the method above will give you good results.

If you are running a different video card other than the ATI you should be able to just stick in the installation CD that came with the HDTV Wonder and it should work fine. If not you may have a defective TV tuner card. You may find a few bugs in the MMC software. But it should at least recognize the TV tuner card.

If you are doing a fresh install just load the installation CD that came with your AIW and it will load all the drivers for the AIW and the HDTV Wonder. And everything should work fine. I hope this information helps.
