    MMC and IR-blaster

I know there are rummour that RW2 will eventually support an IR-blaster, but just came across an app called controlmmc on the digiguide website. Its supposed to act as a link bettween digiguide and MMC (as do a few other programs), but also can control an external set top box via a Actisys or Red Rat IR-blaster. Sounds interesting, couldn't find anything in a search, but I'd be supprised if there isn't somebody on this forum who has tried it?

Well I guess nobody has tried it! So gave it a go myself. Seems to work perfectly well to schedule MMC from digiguide, did just what I hoped for. Don't know how it compares to dabdig or dg2mmc, I'm using a digital set top box into a 9700VIVO and certainly dg2mmc didn't have any channel support for that combo, and I guess dabdig wouldn't either. I'm very tempted to get a an IR-blaster and see how that works. The help file with controlmmc suggests it might be more convienent for europeans to buy the red rat 2 but thats £70uk + p+p and needs a seperate power supply, the actisys can be had from mytvstore in the US for $39 and for europe shipping is from London. Anybody used either of these IR-blasters?
