    TV WONDER VE Install MMC

I'm getting pissed. But I'm sure so is everybody else with this TV WONDER. I wonder when it's gonna work.

Anyway, I have the TV WONDER VE with MMC 8.8. When I try to record it seems to work but then if I stop recording it crashes and I have to restart to get it to start up correctly again. I'm also having the problem where if I try to go through the Initialization Wizard after initially installing it crashes at the point where I choose what line of the sound card puts the audio.

I know it's a long shot but I really need help. I have an older system but I know it's perfectly capable of running this thing as far as the requirements go. I have all of the latest drivers for everything including the windows media and DirectX updates. I even went as far as using RegCleaner to make sure every trace of the old stuff was deleted before installing again. Perhaps there are older drivers that would work wonders for me. If anyone can help me out to get this thing installed and working correctly than I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
My system needs upgrading. Hopefully this summer I'll max it out. :)

    New MMC 8.9

You don't have the latest drivers. MMC 8.9 is now available and it corrects a few problems I had with 8.8. Those include the lockup you are having during the sound initialization, muting line in after starting the TV app, and not being able to use the volume on my remote. My TV Wonder VE now works as it was designed to and I couldn't be happier. I never had a problem with recording though. Have you tried picking a different recording format?
    Hope this helps

No it doesn't matter what format. It records just fine usually but then crashes when I stop and try to watch it. Well, I appreciate the help with everything, but I figured screw it and I went and got an Avermedia TV Studio tuner. The resolution support and image quality is a lot better and it is completely hassle free. I just wish I could get another Guide program to use to browse channels. Thanks a lot.

I'm glad the new one works, but did you get the opportunity to try MMC 8.9?
