Since these drivers have leaked I will let you know that the Overdrive tab mostly works with Eyefinity / 120Hz monitors now (as long as you don't hit the defaults button) the desktop clocks will stay at 400Mhz otherwise.

its a leak... its not a mess... its not a ATI issues if you cant figure it out...But on to your question; why would you uninstall the profiles? If you have a particular game/benchmark test it.

I'm guessing the profile install app has newer profiles than the current profiles we can download?

No, the driver has more profiles in it, some of which are in the profiles file but overall the profile file has more still as it is newer than these drivers. This drivers profile file and the one on AMD's website are the same.

I said the game Aliens vs Predator is a mess not anything that ATi has released....also I asked how the profiles work, do you need to uninstall old and then install new or install new on top of old ?

Then I asked if there is an Aliens vs Predator profile in this set...as ATi keeps them hidden and we have no clue what game profiles are included.

Simple as that...learn how to read before commenting please.

You probably can't say but do these have the 2D performance fixes that the hotfix driver on Tomshardware had?

                              @ Broken Hope

Dunno I haven't tested that recently, I know I reported the pants nature of the 2D acceleration way before Tom's hardware did though (5 months earlier)

*update* nope, still bad performance in 2D, although its a little bit better from when i last tested it 5 months ago.

Hmm someone over at Beyond3D got a decent increase in the benchmark app that toms provided at least.

                                      Bezzle compensation works great.

Though I have to disable Catalyst A.I. in World of Warcraft fullscreen mode if I don't want garbled screen with higher than single monitor resolution.

And 5970 CrossFire + Eyefinity still broke.

I tested the passmark 7.0 util rather than the toms thing. On the Passmark my 5970 card is still getting beaten by more wimpy things in 2D (obviously it doesn't use Crossfire but still it shouldn't be being beaten by a 8800GT)

Well is used primarily by Crossfire so you dont gain much by having Crossfire enabled and AFR disabled but obviously as I mentioned CATAI doesn't actually disable Crossfire.
                                                    I do work for AMD

remember, if you had previously installed 10.2 RC (8.703 10thFeb), you must custom uninstall the Catalyst Control Panel otherwise you will have the new 10.3 (8.71.3 5thFeb) driver and the old 10.2 (8.703 10thFeb) CCC . This is because these (10.3 preview) were packaged 5 days before 10.2 RC. So you want the Driver Packaging to match the CCC version. rflair was so quick off the mark, which is why his CCC version is still from the 10.2 RC (2010-02-10**)

But yeah the whole screen didn't become garbeled with A.I. on in any previous driver release.
