So as always Baldric's plan has gone up in smoke. Sales Manager rang me today saying no stock as they are not an official AMD reseller. Not surprised. Worth a try.
TBH I'm not sure about bothering with tomorrow I'll see. Looked for XseriesX at Currys today and within 1 minute 823 people (bot bast*rds) were ahead of me in the queueI actually got an email from AMD today saying I can get Far Cry 6 free with a 3000 processor WTF. Where the F*ck are your 5000 CPU's?
Maybe the next email will offer me Far Cry 6 with a new purchase of a 5600XT downgradeThey need to sell something if they're not producing any stock of 5000 & 6800's. Schitt show TBH.
At least United are beating some Turkish pub team from Istanbul. Can't pronounce their second nameRyzen 7 3800X, ASUS Prime X470 Pro, KFA2 RTX 3090 SG, 16GB Crucial DDR4 LPX 3000 Ram, iiyama G-Master GB3466WQSU 3440x1440 freesync 144hz, 250gb Samsung SSD, 750mb Seagate SSHD, 2TB Seagate Barracuda H/D, 1 TB Samsung H/D, 850w PSU, Windows 10

I honestly didn't expect the card to last this long. Figured the pump would fail and I'd have to get a waterblock for it at some point.
It clocks good enough its worth keeping in service though. If it topped out at 1650-1700 I'd have upgraded to a Vega II. But since I only game at 1080p 60hz I am still fine with V64. I can even run RE3 fully maxed out and keep 40-50 FPS. So to me, it still does all I need it to do.
Reminds me tho- gotta update meh system specs. lol.Last edited by Flyordie; Nov 25, 2020, 12:02 AM.Be a pirate.

ASRock announces Radeon RX 6900 XT
ASRock is the first manufacturer to unveil its Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card.
Today is the day AMD lifts the embargo on Radeon RX 6800(XT) custom card reviews. However, in just in little over two weeks we will see another Radeon high-end GPU on a market, the Radeon RX 6900 XT. So far no board partner has showcased its RX 6900 XT model, thus ASRock is the first.

Yeston Radeon RX 6800 XT SAKURA Edition pictured
Yeston is the first AMD board partner to showcase a white edition of the Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics cards.
Chinese AMD board partner is preparing its first custom design based on Radeon RX 6800 XT SKU. The graphics card appears to be a full custom design, including the board, which appears to be white (a very unique feature for a Radeon card).
The Sakura Hitomi (if the translation is correct) is a new triple-fan and 2.5-slot design model that will be kept in white and dusty rose appeal. There is also a full cover backplate with a graphic printed on it.
The PCB is much shorter than the cooler itself, only two fans are mounted right on top of the board. This also means that power connectors are located in the center, which is not the most convenient place for cable management.
Yeston claims that the RX 6800 XT Sakura Edition will be available in December. These cards are usually reserved for the Chinese market, but they can be obtained internationally through popular Chinese-based retailers.

all international shipping is bad now
Members of one crew had to shave their heads after running out of shampoo because no one could go ashore for provisions, according to the survey. Another ship’s captain had to pull the tooth of a seafarer who could not go ashore to see a dentist, a shipping company executive said.Mr. Platten, of the International Chamber of Shipping, said that if the crisis continued, vessels would inevitably stop sailing. “It’s not going to be suddenly, tomorrow, that they’re all going to stop,” he said. “It’ll be a gradual creeping up on this, and that’s a real worry for the global supply chain.”
Some ships have already been idled, at least temporarily, because seafarers refused to keep working. Under international maritime law, an undermanned ship cannot sail.

And this from Gibbo over at Overclockers UK https://www.overclockers.co.uk/forum...info.18908580/ Arguably these are the two biggest retails in the UK.
I rang CCL Online and they said they couldn't understand why AMD were calling it a launch as no one in the UK has stock. All they had received was listings for the cards which they published but zero stock.
This is how it looked in europe https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/du...into-2021.html Also lots of reports of no stock in Denmark, Spain, the Netherlands and Portugal.

So the score at half time is consoles 3 million - AMD Zen 3 & 6800 Nil. Can the plucky underdog come back in the second half? It looks a tall order.

Here's a quote from Jay2C..
"There was a lot of expectation from folks saying AMD stock would be great once AIB stock launches. Retailer after retailer is now saying they got ZERO inventory for tomorrow embargo drop on custom cards. This is so much worse than expected. @AMD this was 100% botched. Even AMD fanboys have to admit, this was so much worse than NVIDIA launch in every single way. We needed AMD to deliver and unfortunately they showed us how a bad launch can get even worse."
