Looked for XseriesX at Currys today and within 1 minute 823 people (bot bast*rds) were ahead of me in the queue I actually got an email from AMD today saying I can get Far Cry 6 free with a 3000 processor WTF. Where the F*ck are your 5000 CPU's?

Maybe the next email will offer me Far Cry 6 with a new purchase of a 5600XT downgrade They need to sell something if they're not producing any stock of 5000 & 6800's. Schitt show TBH.

I still feel bad for all those who waited. I have a feeling this is where GPU vendors feel its one of the last oorah's of high margins before things tail off.

I honestly didn't expect the card to last this long. Figured the pump would fail and I'd have to get a waterblock for it at some point.

It clocks good enough its worth keeping in service though. If it topped out at 1650-1700 I'd have upgraded to a Vega II. But since I only game at 1080p 60hz I am still fine with V64. I can even run RE3 fully maxed out and keep 40-50 FPS. So to me, it still does all I need it to do.

Reminds me tho- gotta update meh system specs. lol.

ASRock is the first manufacturer to unveil its Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card.

Today is the day AMD lifts the embargo on Radeon RX 6800(XT) custom card reviews. However, in just in little over two weeks we will see another Radeon high-end GPU on a market, the Radeon RX 6900 XT. So far no board partner has showcased its RX 6900 XT model, thus ASRock is the first.

Yeston is the first AMD board partner to showcase a white edition of the Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics cards.

Chinese AMD board partner is preparing its first custom design based on Radeon RX 6800 XT SKU. The graphics card appears to be a full custom design, including the board, which appears to be white (a very unique feature for a Radeon card).

The Sakura Hitomi (if the translation is correct) is a new triple-fan and 2.5-slot design model that will be kept in white and dusty rose appeal. There is also a full cover backplate with a graphic printed on it.

The PCB is much shorter than the cooler itself, only two fans are mounted right on top of the board. This also means that power connectors are located in the center, which is not the most convenient place for cable management.

Yeston claims that the RX 6800 XT Sakura Edition will be available in December. These cards are usually reserved for the Chinese market, but they can be obtained internationally through popular Chinese-based retailers.

Newegg listings showed up about 610AM this morning. Nothing in stock. Paper launch this morning I guess. Someone claims on discord to have seen add to cart so maybe they had a few, but I never saw anything.

Prices seem generally higher then the 3080 cards. All kinds in the $800 and over range. Really believe they should be selling them at lower then the 3080 by $100, who am I kidding AMD is a Corporation just like The Jacket.

Back on topic. No there were no cards on sale in the UK. This from Scan UK;

"For the custom cooler cards launching at 2pm we have received no stock so we will not be offering any of these for sale or pre-order today. For now we have removed them from the website until we have more information. We are sorry for the inconvenience to those who would like to pre-order. As soon as we get confirmed shipping and stock on shelf information we will share it on this page and list the available models on the website."

I rang CCL Online and they said they couldn't understand why AMD were calling it a launch as no one in the UK has stock. All they had received was listings for the cards which they published but zero stock.

Bill hardly any planes are carrying passengers due to the pandemic. Accept it's going to be dearer but what's the alternative. Today, really. This has made AMD and Frank Azor especially the laughing stock of the graphics world. A reference launch with a few hundred cards is bad but an AIB launch with none, zero, nada. How low can they go?

Here's a quote from Jay2C..
