    Summary:

    Anandtech
"At the end of the day, with its impressive performance and next-generation feature set, the Radeon HD 5870 kicks off the DirectX 11 generation with a bang and manages to take home the single-GPU performance crown in the process. It’s without a doubt the high-end card to get."

    Guru3D
"the reality is that the Radeon HD 5870 is dark, majestic and most definitely a killer."

    HardOCP
"Through all of this, Eyefinity, DX11, DirectCompute 11, OpenCL, the Radeon HD 5870 remains true to the focus of just being a desirable gaming video card. One of the most impressive "features" is the fact that it doubles performance, yet remains within the same power envelope as the previous generation. This is impressive. The fact that you can get all of this for around $379 makes it a really good value with a tremendous price/performance ratio compared to the previous generation."

    PCGamesHardware
"To make it short: The Radeon HD 5870 is the currently fastest single GPU graphics card on the market and definitely the better solution than any multi GPU solution."

    The Tech Report
"The Radeon HD 5870 is the fastest GPU on the planet, with the best visual output, and the most compelling set of features."

    Summary:

    HardOCP
"For $259 the ATI Radeon HD 5850 smacks the competition then laughs.[---]We think the ATI Radeon HD 5850 is "THE" next-gen video card that gamers and hardware enthusiasts are going to flock to."

    AnandTech
"For this fall, we're able to say something we haven't been able to say for quite some time: AMD has the high-end market locked up tight."

    The Tech Report
"The Radeon HD 5850 manages to outshine the fastest single-GPU GeForce card overall while costing less, drawing less power, and producing less noise."

    The Guru of 3D
    "It's a little gem really."

    PC Perspective
"The new Radeon HD 5850 is definitely the best card you can get in the $250 price range today and I think is my best overall pick for all gamers."

    Hot Hardware
"Gamers in the market for a powerful graphics card, that supports all of the latest technologies, need look no further."

    Legit Reviews
"The ATI Radeon HD 5850 is 15-25% slower than the Radeon HD 5870 graphics card, but it also is priced 32% less right off the bat. That, my friends, makes it a price versus performance winner!"

    Tom's Hardware
"we’re perfectly comfortable calling the Radeon HD 5850 a solid buy for the reasons a gamer would buy a new graphics card today"

Might be fake article, since they have no new pictures of the actual card there, only those that have been floating around internet for a week or two.

            Two words. It's console port.

And Rockstar didn't provide to support AA.

One of the big draws to this new vid card is that its suppose to be able do to AA in any game.

                                      AMD makes nice slides.

I think CEST is 6 hours ahead of EST, is that right? That would put the NDA lift at 12:00 AM EST I believe.

This, unfortunately, is the nature of Supersampling AA. It literally is a full screen AA method that eliminates jaggies on EVERYTHING, but at the same time degrades texture quality.

Did you even read it? they were talking about Nvidia SSAA with the missing branches and that Nvidia SSAA is not fit for general use which is why they don't officialy support it..

However for the time being it looks like ATi's SSAA doesnt work in DX10 or over, only DX9 and OGL. And that there is a bug in source engine games making the image blurry.

They then tested SSAA on crysis warhead and found the image quality was about the same as MSAA+AAA

Anandtech's yapping and yammering on about the die being too big constantly was ****ing annoying. According to them, the card is not quite fast enough to bring the performance crown for single cards, but the die is too big. Hello clueless reviewer, they make it smaller it will perform slower.

Other than that, a pretty good review. I do actually agree with them that the performance is slightly underwhelming. Off to read [T]ard and a few others.
