Warcraft 3 -> praise the developers

I have recently purchased warcraft 3. It installed flawlessly, it ran falwlessly. Battlenet worked first time and every time since. I havent seen a graphical glitch or stutter. The game even runs ok on my brother's fairly low spec machine. A few of my friends have recently bought the game on my recommendation, and they havent had a single problem either....

This is what PC gaming should be about. This is THE most polished game I have played since....since....well for a long time anyway.

I fell the developers shoudl be praised for this. The game has clearly been developed and tested to hell and back. The fact that very, very, few people are having problems is a testament to the work the've put in to troubleshooting/debugging the game BEFORE release.

    /me holds my glass up

    TO BLIZZARD!

This is what games should be like....(GTA3 anyone?)

Yes, GTA3 please. It installed fine, and runs fine. I don't see what all the fuss is about the game; it's fantastic IMHO.

I gotta agree. War Craft III looks sweet and runs sweet. GTA3 is visually impressive. It does slow down a bit now and then, but that's normal for this game. Slows down on GF4 and PS2.

GTA3 is one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played.
Unfortunately it runs like a pig with my specs.

WC3 however is blazing fast. Max Payne is another game that runs Super Fast on my Rig and IMHO looks better than GTA3.

GTA3 IS a fantastic game, however ity runs **** poor on my rig, and its full of bugs galore. Yes it slows down on the PS2, but when you consider the difference in computing power....

I just war3 in the mail, and installed. Cranked the graphics up as high as I can, and the game runs wonderful at 1600x1200. Couldn't ask for more.

Then again we all know how much beta testing they did with it too. How many beta releases were there?

Who cares how mush they beta tested it. The fact is the version they released to the public is awesome. More developers should follow Blizzards foot steps.

Thats beacuse blizzard is smart enough to have 5000 beta testers for 6 month so they can finde any possible bugg in the game why dont other companies do that??

I do... Then again look how damn good the game runs? Do you think if GTA3 had that many beta users we'd have any problems?

The fact is beta testing the way they did resulted in a damn good stable, awesome running games... Look at the graphics and the requirements, it runs awesome on my notebook even... 7500m, with a 1.2 p3m. I run it at 16x12 which is also the native res of my 15" UXGA LCD for my notebook, so it looks even better... Excellent job on the game. I find that it was $40 well spent.

Blizzard has always been good with stable games, unfortunately sometimes it comes out real late because of that (think Diablo 2).

#Its good that they do but some people will just go - they have a beta already whats's taking so long (think Diablo 2)...

                                Patience is a virtue...

i have played it since feb (no not legit ) and the game was rock solid stable then. the beta test *REALLY* was 95% about balance, not bug fixing.

and i just gotta say, 1.13 was still the best version
However, I am in the extreme minority, and I understand that there is something fundamentally wrong with me

Yeah some people are having minor problems. Most are card related and were blatently advertised on thier site and the pacaging it self. It's still one if not the most balanced and bug free games ever realesed.

Gotta agree, too. Just got it today, but already love it. Screenshots in reviews just do not show how good the graphics are. The smoothness and fluidness of them just cannot be shown in a still image, even on a machine with my specs.

Even on my machine, I've got everything maxed (although only 1024x768) and it runs GREAT!
