Just hoping that my Radeon can run it [ The radeon discussion part of the post ].
The first shot is quite impressive.

Yeah I'm really looking forward to this game...I hope ATI has fixed most of their problems when it is released...at the pace they are working now it might look like they are on their way to get all of the bugs out of the drivers in a fairly short time.

Wow! You can see those pixel shaders working! The shading is perfect!
The shadows are actually done using projected textures and stencil buffers. Digital Extremes (DE) has impressed Epic with this. Still, a DirectX 7 vid card can do it. Where pixel shaders really come into effect is with bump-mapping.

Jeez guys, a radeon 7500 with a P3-700 would run it. Stop worrying.
Remember how good halo looks? It runs on something just a bit better than the above.
this is gonna be one visually impressive game! I just hope the gameplay is at least equal to UT (I'm still playing that after 2.5 years!).
I'm sure it'll look fine with my LE (148/148) albeit a bit slow @10x7. I'll miss out on the pixel shader stuff, but I still won't need to upgrade until the end of the year (when U2 comes out ).

I think you are fogeting Halo was specificly programed to run on Xbox's hardware.

It was a PC game to begin with till Microsoft bought bungie and forced them to make it for X-Box first. It should be coming to both PC and MAC some time soon

Yeah Halo will be release for PC, i know that since xbox came out, that's the official statement from bundle software...
I played that game on xbox and finished it...the best looking level is in the forest under heavy rain in the middle of night wow
Anyway that's awesome game, good story, good designed levels, very scary, and it's a different than other games....
Level are designed, gives you impression like 'you have feeling you're in the middle of everything'.
I played multiplayer with my brother kinna boring 1 vs 1, but with large number of players would be great.
This games is under construction for PC, it should be look better than on xbox.
Now back to UT2, UT1 is big **** doesn't pair with quake 3 in any aspect. UT2 looks nice but?
Anyway I'm waiting for Doom3 and HALO
Last night I installed for the first time MOHHA, demo single and multiplayer version.
So I played both (1024 768 32bit all details maximum highest, and all options on, smoothvision 2x filtering 16x) of course under radeon 8500 retail, game works perfect no text coruption, slow motions etc played for two hours, and it's **** game, like cs comparing with halo or quake 3 makes me laugh.
RTCW looks better, and those games are the same.
Sorry, but UT kicks Quake3's ass any day. Quake3=same boring game, lame gameplay. UT is much better - better weapons, etc.
I'm tired of you quake3 heads droning on about "quake3 is da bomb". Cause it aint. it sucks goat balls.
It's true Quake3's gameplay sucks big time. It's vary repetive and not much fun. Quake2 blows away Quake3 in all ways expect graphics :\(with the expection of the Railgun blast. I personally think the Q2 railgun shot looks better than the Quake3 one but thats just me )
Back on topic this new UT looks amzing and Iam betting is goin got be lots of fun to play. I play UT on and off and I can't wait for this new one
