The answers to these questions will almost always be multiplayer games.
More than 15k hours in:
Path of Exile
More than 10k hours each:
Counterstrike:Source
MUDs (text based multiplayer games from back in the 90s)
More than 5k hours:
World of Warcraft (vanilla back in '04-'07)
More than 2k hours each:
Counterstrike 1.6
Fortnite
Battlefield 3
I didn't expect to see my Fortnite playtime at 2.5k+ hours, as it feels like I barely play it, just enough to level up the battlepass.

CSGO ; somewhere around 2800 hours I believe? So much time spent reviewing matches for my league games when I played competitively
WOW is probably up there, but I don't have a count for it. Probably a ridiculous number though.Originally posted by curioEat this protein bar, for it is of my body. And drink this creatine shake, for it is my blood.

Total? It's probably something like Mario Kart on the SNES... I'm sure I put a thousand hours into that as a teenager.
On PC? Probably something like UT or Quake2 or something. I'm sure I've logged several hundred, or perhaps thousands of hours into stuff like that over the last few decades.
--------------
Steam's info isn't very accurate for me.
It says I put- 161 hours into HL:Alyx.
- 101 hours into Google Earth VR
- 47 hours into Moss
Looks like I have a bad habit of forgetting to turn of my VR games when I'm done playing.
- I did play all the way through Doom Eternal, but there's no way I put in 87 hours that steam says I did.
- I loaded up Tribes Ascend once for maybe 30 minutes, but it says I played 28 hours. Oops.
- CS:Condition Zero... yeah I've prolly put in 65 hours into that one.

This is straight from the launchers' info, so if I left a game running for four days straight while I wasn't even home, that's on the launcher.
- 1864 hours, MotoGP 13 to MotoGP 21
- 825 hours, Rocket League
- 392 hours, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
- 382 hours, Grand Ages: Rome & Reign of Augustus DLC
- 378 hours, Valheim
- 343 hours, Assetto Corsa
- 182 hours, F1 2010
- 155 hours, Grand Theft Auto 5 (PC only, finished on X360 too)
- 150 hours, The Witcher 3 + DLC
- 150 hours, World of Tanks
It's rare for me to clock more than a hundred hours in any game. But I love my racing, so the MotoGP games get about 150 hours a year.May the Yods be silent

Playing Freespace open source project- easily 4+thousands of hours over the last 20 years
next up would be World of Warcraft from 2004 to 2005, I was addicted easily playing 4-6 hours a day, that would put it just under 3000 hours during 1.5 years I was playing.
Then after that would be Guild Wars 2, I am 850 hours since release of that game which was August 2012Originally posted by David O. But currently... I have over 1000 in Apex Legends at this point. I still suck, but enjoy the hell outta it-Trunks0
not speaking for all and if I am wrong I never said it.

Pffft, kiddos. I have over 380 DAYS on WoW.~2004 to 2010ish. At the time I quit I felt sort of guilty about it, now I think it was some of the most joyful time I've ever had in a game.

Depending on how far we want to go back, but a top-ten I guess would be:- Ultima Online
- Everquest
- World of Warcraft (up to Burning Crusade)
I stopped playing MMOs at least 10 years ago now I think, so more recently:
- Diablo 3: 800-1000hrs
- Apex Legends: 300hrs
- Destiny 2: 230hrs
- Borderlands 2: 200hrs
- Borderlands: 141hrs
- Bad Company 2: 130hrs
- Monster Hunter World: 125hrs
When I stopped playing MMOs I was so behind on games and had missed wonders like F.E.A.R. etc. and ended up playing them years later. Now I play more games for fewer hours rather than fewer games for more hours. Same amount of total game time, just spread out

from my entire gaming career, here is what I remember...
Excite bike, Soccer and Tanks on NES when I was a kid
then what, I don't remember lol, maybe TMNT on SNES, ISS Deluxe maybe, and then Final Fight series?... I forget it.
on the pc, in the 90s.. Jane's Combat Simulations games, Wing Commander series, Strike Commander, Warcraft series, and Syndicate +...
I played Winning Eleven/PES series from Winning Eleven 3 on PS1 to PES 2011 on PC, that was like what... a little over 10 years playing the same annual game series? I switched over to FIFA with FIFA 18 and then 20 but I'm now completely done with football games....
speaking about football games, I also played Championship Manager since it's 3rd iteration up until the original dev switched over to Football Manager, I played the first few games in FM era before being done with it.
Total War series is another series I played a lot in the past starting since the first ever game up until Medieval 2, I played Medieval 2 the most due to the mods available, getting as far as up in the 2010s I replayed Medieval 2 again with the striving mods back then, I basically couldn't get into TW again since Empire, I hate the gunpowder era, and I loathe the fantasy TW games, also couldn't get into modern TW games like Shogun 2, Rome 2 or even 3 Kingdoms because I couldn't get into the modern UI style that they use.
the X3 series is another games I played a lot, beginning with X3 Reunion right up to X3 Albion Prelude, and of course with mods at that time, and again like with many of the games I mentioned before, I just couldn't get into the newer iteration of the games that I enjoyed in the past, this time I couldn't get into X4, and I also loathed the X Rebirth.
then there's Elite Dangerous, I played the game since 2015 and clocked up close to 1000 hours by now but sadly I've not played it a lot since 2021, the latest expansion is underwhelming and overall the game just run out of steam in the last few years.. ED is the only MMO ish game I actually played in all of my gaming career...
in the past 3 years though, I've been playing Roguetech mod for Battletech the most, clocking over 2500 hours today and still continuing...
somewhere along in that timeline I also played a lot tactical action games, from the first few RB6 games, SWAT 4, Splinter Cell and the likes, it's sad how they are gone now although I know apparently ubisoft is remaking Splinter Cell but I wouldn't hold my breath...
and in the last 5 years I've played more indie - AA games than AAA games, the last AAA games I actually played and enjoyed somewhat is Cyberpunk, that was definitely a downer and didn't live up to the hype...
in the future I may finally get into DCS... lol... depending if I can afford the time commitment and equipment for it, for a long time I really wanted to get into modern (as in modern games, not replaying the 90s games) military aviation sim world but yeah it's too consuming, so I Keep backing away from it.
that's basically it, the games and genres I've played the most.I guess it's the trend nowdays with games; either you are a hardcore PC GAME, or you live long enough to see yourself become a console port

NES days probably would be Final Fantasy
SNES probably would be Final Fantasy 3 (VI)
Early PC days would be Daggerfall.
There was a long Diablo 2 phase.
For the Steam data:
TF2 - 1,017 hrs
Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition - 369 hrs
Wasteland 2: Director's Cut - 204 hrs
TF2 and DAO were during an extended unemployed phase. I didn't even care for DAO all that much.
