Once the FOV ( I think is was FOV) fix came out for the first Dead Space I was blown away. Still one of my most memorable gaming experiences. Scared the heck out of me

Totally, what I've been reading is a re imagining of it.

3 was okay but nowhere near as good as 2 or 1. Sadly I don't think the franchise is a big enough seller to compete, despite other single player games doing well. I'd just be happy with a smaller team making something like the original.

If word gets out that it’s a remaster I won’t buy. I made that mistake with Demon’s Souls and won’t do that again.

If it’s a 4th title as speculated it might just be a day one purchase though.

I loved Dead Space 1 and 2. Still have not played 3, as something about it just didn't look appealing to me.

If you have someone to co-op with its an ok plathrough with some cool **** that you only get in co-op. Other wise its **** dont bother.

I need to refresh my memory on what was different (worse) with 3 compared to 1 and 2.

Is the co-op 2 player only, or more? I play co-op games with a couple friends and it sucks when a co-op game is only 2 players.

I don't think you're missing much tbh. It didn't have that original dead Space vibe for me at all that the 2nd game captured so nicely.

Just reinstalled Ds3 and quickly uninstalled, it’s just not as good as 1, it’s not horror it’s just mediocre 3rd person sci-fi. I never did finish it and won’t be trying to.

Probably everything. I bought it on ps3 way back in the day but I find all the dead space games in all my libraries somehow.

I have to replay this sometime soon. We have this “re-imagining” happening, and we have Callisto Protocol (2022) to look forward to, and this would be a great way to pass some of the time while waiting.

My main concern is how far they may take the reimagining...that word opens the door to turning it into pretty much whatever they want to. I thought the first game was nearly perfect for an action / horror game and I would hate to see them lose that.

On the other hand, it could be a really good thing in the right hands. A re-master would be fun, but anyone who played the original would know exactly what to expect and when. Done right, there could be some wonderfully nasty surprises in store for all of us.
