    Games Finished June 2021

In our 4th year doing this it is amazing how many members are participating throughout. I hope it has helped you as it helped me keeping my backlogs in check while enjoying my games.

As many have seen, I have completed a lot of games last year and still managed to do my hobbies, take care of family, career and the occasional travel (not counting 2020).

Not every month someone will be finishing a lot, as there are months where a person just can't finish anything. Then you got that streak going in another month.

Also, if you plan to replay the game, it is fine but don't repeat it at a later month as first completion is what counts.

Another thing is the criteria of what is considered completed in unclear games such as team based multiplayer games; I would say set a target for that. E.g. I considered Overwatch completed when I reached level 100. Or when I finished story mode (which was a long movie sequence) in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. You decide what you consider is completed as long as it is reasonable to a certain extend and correlate-able to a single player experience.

DLC completed at a separate time from the main game and has enough content (+1 hour) can be counted as a separate completion.

Console completions can be accepted as long as the main focus is still PC overall.

    Completed Games:
    647-NieR Replicant
    648-The Medium
    649-Iron Harvest: Operation Eagle Expansion
    650-Guilty Gear: Strive
25 -Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown

Sorry guys for the delay and thanks Crawdaddy for checking on me. I am getting an overload of life stuff, especially on the work side. You know how it is, COVID19 and somehow we working twice as much from home.

Anyway, here is something about my list for June:

647-NieR Replicant: Not as good as Automata (not even close) but still a good game and a better version compared to the original with many improvements. A chorefest though, so you have been warned.

648-The Medium: I went into this with low expectations. Even those weren't met. Plus the performance hit in splitscreen mode was way too high.

649-Iron Harvest: Operation Eagle Expansion: A nice full campaign for this great RTS. If you haven't tried it and love RTS games with awesome steampunk units, get this.

650-Guilty Gear: Strive: Despite simplification (skill crush), the game is overall a step improvement that brought in a lot of new players while somehow annoying the old but not running them off completely. Great story (no gameplay) and the best online netcode ever. Despite no crossplay, you get matches almost instantly and loading is so fast and rematches happen instantly. Highly recommended.

25 -Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown: Really loved this as it was free on PSN and I am a fan of VF. I did skip over VF4 as I was away from consoles. Looking forward to getting it on PC.

      Glad to see you back!

      For me, 2.

Forza Horizon 4: Fortune Island DLC - Bought this to do something while waiting for the last barn vehicle which was being "worked on" for 10 game hours. Did most of the unique content before the barn vehicle was complete.

Cyberhook - A surprisingly easy to play grapple-running game. Played until the fun achievements were complete @ 63%.

            Only four again;
Subnautica - Really enjoyable and great in VR.
Deep Sky Derelicts - Shallow, tedious and unbalanced.
Rain on your Parade - Short and cute.
Star Wars Squadrons - So-so but much improved by VR.

Fingers crossed July is my last month on overtime and my tally should improve.

                    My favorite R3D thread!

I thought I wasn't going to get anything finished this month, as MotoGP21 is much harder than I thought it'd be and I'm wasting tons of time on Valheim. But Lego: Builder's Journey is short, kinda ok and it's Lego. So I finished one game this month after all.

On the flipside, I bought Northgard in the Steam Summer Sale, got Control for free through the Epic Store, and I'm keen on replaying TLOU2, so the backlog isn't getting any shorter.
                    May the Yods be silent

Thanks for your thoughts on Guilty Gear. I have never played the series, but it looks like it could be fun online. Hoping when it goes on sale there will still be a good amount of players.

I didn’t technically complete anything in June. I have something ready for July already, though. I can’t remember if I claimed MK11 story-mode as completed in a previous month or not. If I didn’t, then 1 for this month.

                              It Takes Two

Some short, like less than 2 hour puzzler, I beat at the beginning of the month but can't remember it's title.

Oh yes. COD is absolutely dope. It is a massive improvement from the launch version and keeps getting better. Plus they put Nuketown and Hijacked on a 24/7 playlist. That means I am royally screwed.

                                                13 for June 2021

Another big month ... of crappy games (for the most part).

                                                A-Gents - Decent Retro game
AI: Rampage - Not as bad as the reviews say ... but still bad
Airscape: The Fall of Gravity - Great platformer (and currently on sale)
Alchemist - Great Action Platformer that was removed from Steam.
Animal Lover - God I hope I got this in a bundle. Decent Otome if you're into that.
Awkward Dimensions Redux - Dull walking sim (not sure how this is very positive but it may be just me)
                                                Bacteria - Decent Puzzle game
Block Blowout - Crappy Block Breaker
Blossoms Bloom Brightest - God I hope I got this in a bundle. Decent Yuri if you're into that.
                                                Yooka-Laylee - Really good kid's platformer
Zap Zap Zombie Cats - 1) Free 2) You're a cat who shoots zombie cats ... what's not to like
Zombidle: Remonstered - Decent clicker game where you play the bad guy
