While it’s not Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol is made by the brains behind that iconic series, and is coming to PC and next-gen consoles in 2022 from Krafton subsidiary Striking Distance Studios, which is led by Dead Space creator Glen Schofield.

The first one was the best game of the genre, for me anyway. Creeped me out and got some solid jumps out of me lol.

If Callisto can deliver that experience all over again, I'm all in.

DS2 was really good but it's tough to beat that first experience with something great. I had played horror games before, but never anything like DS...I was much more prepared (clean undies and a rolling chair to gtfo) for the 2nd one

IMO, DS2 was more like a hollywood blockbuster than a straight up horror title, the only time that game tried to be like the original was when you returned to a certain ship.

That's not always bad though. Alien and Aliens followed the same format and both were very well done.

Yeah, that was amazing. I took some really, really good mind enhancers and the game delivered.

Playing a movie is what video games should be I think.

When the monster/creature attacks the guy in the prison(?) cell, you can actually see, up close, what it's doing. At the end of the trailer, you now see the aftermath of the guys face/head from the attack.

I don't think I'm going to watch any more videos of this game. I want it to be as fresh and new as possible when it releases. It's almost certainly going to be a day one purchase for me.

Neat, RE4 copy #2 in December, remake of RE4 copy #1 in Jan, and then the remake of RE4 in March.

I'm not complaining though, I really like RE4 and Dead Space.

Isn’t it still 6 months or so until release? Hopefully they fix any frame issues by then. Elden Ring was one of my most anticipated games and frame rate issues plagued it. I’m really looking forward to this one so please…..because mid-range gaming PC needs it to be smooth….

Yeah I don't think it's worth reading much into those framerate issues yet. ATi and Matrox still have time to optimize drivers. And you could expect the devs to optimize a bit more in the final months.
