I actually do like the games and crave them for some odd reason lol.
I do play(Have installment 3 and bought the PS5 few months back) from time to time but I just get so frustrated with dying and the start over lol. Which happens sooooo much!
I do admit I’ve ground a couple of teeth down playing these games I really question why I do this to myself sometimes, but I just love that feeling of beating the odds. No other games besides Souls or Niohs do it for me. I might be damaged
Damn, so it plays like a souls game? I suck at them.
I already prebought(PS5) elden ring just off art, graphics, and early videos.
I would have skipped it if I knew it played like a souls game. My own fault.
You couldn't see that from the previews? I watched one video and knew i wasn't going to like it and not going to bother with it

If I ever wind up playing this game it will likely be a with a trainer from Cheat Happens.
I don't understand this. I think I can understand if you just want to experience the world and story, without any frustrations if the games are too tough for you, but in that case why not just watch a playthrough video and save the money?
I guess you'd at least be supporting the developer with another purchase. I just don't really see why though if you're not going to get out of it what's most important, the feeling of accomplishment.

Unfortunately EAC is being used for drm. Its also being used in offline mode. To bypass eac will mean you can never play online (which is fine by me). I typically increase my damage output with cheat engine by a small degree to offset my lack of skills. Having the ability to save anywhere is also useful.
Easy mode builds? Btw, future press will be releasing a hardcover, CE strategy guide in march. Great for being able to research the lore of the game.
Magic Was OP in demon.
Dark Souls could be broken by poise, and combined with iron flesh you could just tank the hardest bosses in the game and spam r1 in order to win.
Forward roll broke DS2.
No idea what was considered broken in 3 though, I basically finished it and forgot all about it.
I won't get the game till next week so I am trying my best to avoid watching any videos of gameplay. Do not want to rob myself of the joy of discovery.

The discovery factor in this game is going to be through the roof. No matter what I find or how much I’ll always feel like I’m missing a secret wall, or something…somewhere
Now I just need these bastids at work to leave me alone for the next few days.

The work setup is to the right. I don't wanna share a picture of it yet though because the cable management is atrocious.

Your room looks as spotless as a microchip factory.
First off: Thank you. We've moved recently, so there's a lot that still needs decorating.
The wall behind me looks like this:
So decorative stuff is still in the process of going up and making the place a little more colorful. The work desk though is probably going to languish in cable hell until this weekend when I'm recovered enough (had a surgery on Tuesday) to get under the desk and work on it.

I mean, yeah, sure, there's benefits to a shaved asshole. But get a little sweaty and try and blow a fart. It just sits there like a bubble. No hair to break the seal. Feels weird.
That's a great question. I think I'm going to start with the Confessor. Sword n' shield and maybe a healing spell or two.

Game seems really good so far. Explored around for about an hour trying out combat and trying my best to shake off the muscle memory from Nioh. It will come back to me eventually but I feel like I'm fighting the controls more than the enemies so far. Also can't figure out how to two-hand my sword. They must have changed it so need to look that up. Another thing is I can't seem to level up yet? Questions will be answered with more playing. But I am really liking the sense of freedom with the open world. Its like I don't even know which way to go, and not used to that in these types of games. Really cool.
Technically the game runs at 60 fps solid most of the time, but I did see one or two instances where the framerate dipped for a second or two. Probably asset loading, so that issue is definitely there. Game is mesmerizing to look at though, like a beautiful oil painting. Definitely sucks you into its world instantly.
Vagabond here. Just going with the standard STR build for first playthrough. Also chose the golden seed as a starting keepsake item. Always nice to have an extra flask charge at the start.

Switch back and forth between 2H and 1H by holding Y and then LB/RB. It was a tutorial message. I don't know if LB and RB do different things like maybe choosing *which* hand weapon to 2H?

Cool thanks, will try it out.
I may have missed some developer messages because there has been like a hundred user messages, most saying "try fingers butt hole."

Was going to choose that first, but I always do that build. Figured I’d switch it up this round.

I’m actually trying a magic build this playthrough, but I wanted solid starting stats and gear because I just don’t have the stomach for a glass cannon yet. At least until I see how strong magic is in this game.
One thing I’m grateful for is they don’t make you go too far before there’s another grace to rest at. I basically just heading north and it feels about right for my still semi squishy build.
Only thing killing me is every. Time. I turn around or hop up onto a rock there’s a whole other area to explore. SO much to see and find
Leveling is unlocked after discovering a certain grace, not far from the start.
I have to say the open world has me a little intimidated I went into an area I probably wasn’t leveled for, but survived.
My parry is rusty but still serviceable, and Meteor, yeah that Nioh muscle memory got me killed right off the bat lol.
Haven’t even scratched the surface of the game yet and I can’t stop smiling
Edit: leveled up a few and have to go back to a boss fog wall I found. I’m nervous and excited. This is sweet!
Yeah, I discovered the level up screen when I got past the castle ruins.
Have to say, the mounted combat in this game IS AWESOME! I wasn't sure what to expect, being a new mechanic and all, but I am totally sold. When I first got to those ruins with all the knights, I meticulously took them out stealthy. But then after getting Torrent I went back and absolutely annihilated them all with ease. Felt so good to take them out so quickly. F'ing loving it.
