Well, two NPCs just took off. Now to try to find them out in the world. Also ran into my good buddy Alexander, was wondering when I was going to see him again. Didn't expect him where he was. Now I gotta go find him somewhere else now. At least he told me what region he was headed to this time.
Yeah, if From is gonna nerf something, they should at least spend the time to actually fix it in the first place as well. Hoarfrost still repeatably goes under geometry, or in some cases, if there's a pillar, it would cast 8 feet in the air and do nothing. So if you're on an uneven surface, well, it goes under the ground and is completely useless. So not only does it cost more, yadda, yadda, but the entire skill can still be eaten up by uneven terrain. They couldn't even be asked to fix that aspect. I didn't even try it to see what the damage looked like now, just putzed to see what the casting delay was and the entire thing went underground on my first cast. They could have at least actually spent the time to fix the skill at the same time.
Instead of nerfing things into oblivion because of PVP maybe they should actually buff other things. Like the fact that I have 40+ into faith with an almost maxed seal and my incantations do less than a swipe from my melee weapon for the most part, have long cast times, and use quite a bit of FP. Hell I used the trinket to get 50 faith to try out one spell and it's absolutely lackluster in it's damage for the investment it takes. Seriously, most things have such long wind ups, weapon arts, incantations, etc that they end up being highly situational to use. There's a cold weapon art, freezing mist I think, that the wind up is so damn long on, I'd just use it early to buff my freezing damage on my weapon and not actually use the hit to attack.
It's little things like that, where as they make enemies faster, make wind ups and cast times faster so they're more useful.
I dunno, that's just me though.“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid

I'm still kinda worked up over the hoarfrost thing. Not that it was nerfed, but more so that they took the time to look at it and it still has ****ed up pathing where terrain can negate the cast. More that it casting underground was a known issue and all they did was change spreadsheet values around when they took a look at it and left the garbage casting underground in.“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid

No big deal really as you can get another talisman with the same effect, but it’s a bit more complicated, and I’ve already died a few times going for itI’ll have it soon though.
I just did the 2 bosses in Leyndell with my 2nd build by the way. 3 battles total, both down so I can open the part where it starts getting harder now

You know its weird. In some ways Elden Ring is easier than other FS games, but in some ways they turned up the difficulty to 11 billion.

You’re right though, it is weird. In a way it seems they borrowed some ideas from Team Ninja and modified them to fit in this IP. Spirits, OP abilities, tons of weapons and loot. But they made it work. I still would question certain things like where I can use spirits and Torrent, or not…but overall it works.

There's also some small glowing lines in front of forts and other places that's a signifier for no Tempest I've seen.
Still trying to find the updated questlines. Probably just gonna do a google search cause ain't nobody got time for that. Did find Alexander though and he gave me a pot helmet. :3“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid

So, about them quest updates.
Don't know the trigger when they migrate there, but you find them all in the throne room in Stormveil castle. Might be more with one of them, but the gatekeeper lets you buy an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone for 20k and the Lady gives you another. So, worth it to find them.
Yeah, I would have had no idea to look for them there.“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid

I loved Breath of the Wild too. But that game is like a child's plaything compared to Elden Ring.

This game does not deserve to be above witcher3.
Also, I'm about |-| this close to removing it from my PS5. I'm still stuck on this draconic tree sentinel. I can play the fight completely perfect, get suckered by a fireball that I dodged but somehow the AOE splash hits me despite my I-frame, and then I'm dead. One mistake, dead. Dude hits like a ****ing 10 ton truck.
My favorite is when I am sprinting on the horse at full speed and I watch the fireball curve in mid-air to hit me while I'm sprinting sideways. It's hilariously ****ing stupid and pathetically blatant tracking.
I'm about over it.Last edited by Nunz; Mar 17, 2022, 11:45 AM.Originally posted by curioEat this protein bar, for it is of my body. And drink this creatine shake, for it is my blood.

I was also a little surprised Witcher 3 only sold 6 million at launch. I would have guessed it to be at 10 million.
As for game comparisons, in pure RPG territory IMO Witcher 3 is the greatest RPG ever made. But its more character driven with better quests, dialogue etc. Elden Ring has it beat on challenge and depth of combat mechanics. As for copies sold, I just think Elden Ring had a ton of hype leading into release. From Soft's reputation has just been growing and growing every year with each game they make.
But Cyberpunk just sold a ton. I think if a Witcher 4 got released it will sell much more, especially since the Netflix series has been successful.

Did you fight while on the horse the whole time? I found that once he goes to his second phase with the lightning strikes it becomes easier to fight on foot up close to him.

I think the Tree Sentinels are such cool bosses, but that one is a little over the top 2nd phase.
Then again, 50% of the game is over the top

I just closed the game up. I've really lost interest after that fight. It really took the wind out of my sails and I'm not enjoying it. Found myself just trying to run past stuff. Leyndell knight somehow tracked me past 8 different turns while I was sprinting and got me from behind while I was fighting some dogs.
I thought Elden Ring might be the first one I actually finish but I think today might be one of the last few times I launch it.Originally posted by curioEat this protein bar, for it is of my body. And drink this creatine shake, for it is my blood.

But, just something to think about, according to Steam global achievements only about 30% of players have defeated the boss in that area you just got to. So you have come way further than most people already. Maybe just give it a break and try it again in a week or two?

Especially since I boned myself not doing the Volcano Manor stuff. Wish I googled harder about if it affected end story or not cause I missed out on a lot of gear by skipping it.“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid

I did the Volcano manor first play through, and hit a portal in this one that warped me there at about level 40. I said Nope and got out
You know I completely missed Ghost City first time through? I knew nothing about it until I saw FightinCowboy go in there. It sounds like a royal Pain, but I’ll find it this time.
I’m worried about what I missed by going as far as I have…I’ll find out lol.
