I did finally find a lost grace and map fragment that I’ve been trying to get to for 30 minutes, and think that might be the road to where I want to go….
I’m having SERIOUS focus issues with this game. I choose a goal/destination and then SHINY! Off I go

The sword is just crazy. Melee, it’s a decent sword, skill wise, it’s pretty wicked, and because it’s an INT/FTH split build, I have access to more spells and incantations.
Time to explore and level, see what it can do.
I’m dumping 2 more points into STR/DEX so the meteoric blade is still an option, and moving forward with that.

So.....I'm at a point where I can't progress the game without getting past a certain boss, and summons aren't working, and this is, well, there's not a single thing about the encounter that's fun, pleasant, anything I would hope for.
I'm not even upset at the game, just extremely disappointed.
Run around and level more...I'm tired of grinding. More tired of taking a nuke to the face 4 times (and dying) before I can even get close to the boss.
How can they ruin such a beautiful game with encounters like this?

If you don't mind DLing a widescreen fix app and making a txt. file then starting from a different exe (found in your game folder) you can remove those black bars. Of course, I'm sure you know but don't want to lose the multiplayer aspect. Which we do when enabling widescreen fix.
And that sucks.

I've just been doing nothing for the most part. Decided to farm the Halo Scythe from the Clean Rot Knights. That took a while, but I also got a full armor set from them as well. Too bad it's time for fat roll with it even with my Armament Talisman.
Got tired of having a +6 weapon so I #yolo and upped my Grave Scythe to +12 I think. Could go higher but my stone (5) are not very numerous at the moment and don't feel like going all in all in. Just need to debate which other Scythe I want to level as they both use the unique stones. Either Winged or Halo Scythe. Then It's figuring out what strike weapon I want to upgrade as an alternate. Couple levels and I'll be able to use the Night Rider Flail. Might see how that one does and swap it with my Flame Monk Mace that I have.
Still haven't downed a story boss since Hogwarts.
And for Nunz question.
I'm playing on Playstation.“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid

I think that's the same person from the Scarlet Rot Church. Tried to find that item down there as well for that quest. I haven't looked it up to see if my suspicions are correct, but I'm thinking I gotta kill the mini boss that's down there, but he killed me with a 1HKO that has the area of a small city block. So, is there a reliable way to get low level smithing stones? I'm not seeing how they expect you to level up multiple weapons when you can't use the higher level stones if you don't have enough lower level stones? Are there simply a fixed number of stones, ergo no experimentation?
Ie. I have two _2 weapons, one smithing stone short of getting ONE of them to +3, and can't use any of the high level stones I have as far as I can tell.
So, I'm stuck at +2 weapons, which I think is holding me back.Last edited by koralis; Mar 5, 2022, 10:22 AM.A hobbiest foundry and forge in progress, plans, suppliers, showcasing ideas

Yes. I'll spoiler a location under this. But a good spot in Limgrave is Limgrave Tunnels if you haven't hit that cave yet. NW tunnel bordering the lake where the dragon is.
Now, aside from that.
. There is a cave in Liurnia that when the boss is defeated gives you an item that will allow you to buy Smithing Stone 1 and 2 from the twin vendor at Roundtable. It's Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel. It's northeast of Raya Lucaria. My description isn't the best, hard to really say as I don't know where you're at. But sure a goggle of the name will give a better map location.“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid

I’ve actually had a ton of them available, but I’ve opened most maps too…the simplest way would be to just google stone locations. Most of the guides I’ve seen are fairly spoiler free and just point to where dungeons and vendors are.

If they can be had as random item drops from critters in dungeons, then I guess I just need to farm them. If they're only treasure (ie. one time) then it doesn't solve the problem ultimately, but might get me over this hump at least.A hobbiest foundry and forge in progress, plans, suppliers, showcasing ideas

I actually have this issue except with low level somber stones right now (I believe they are this game's twinkling tinanite). I have a few tier 4 and 5 stones but I need the lower tier ones to upgrade my meteoric ore blade.

Just spent the past 20 minutes trying to get summoned into my brother's game to help him learn the ropes (he's new to the Souls genre in general) and couldn't figure out what was wrong, why he couldn't find my summoning sign, until it dawned on me that he needed to use a Furled Finger.
I do wish multiplayer was just slightly less confusing for new Souls players to play with a specific friend."I'll admit it. I did try and **** her, she was married."
"I moved on her like a bitch. I couldn't get there and she was married."
"I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything."
"Grab them by the pussy."

Hints at where below!
1. Did you do the wolf headed guy's quest down in Mistwood?
2. He'll tell you about a blacksmith buddy of his.
Location Spoiler if you want.
3. He's in Liurnia. I don't think you -NEED- to do the wolf headed guys quest, but if you do he'll sell a talisman as well as the somber stones. North of the Academy along the north shore of the lake, he'll be along the road that boarders it.“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid

Somehow I missed that tunnel entirely. Seems like it's still a one-shot, but got the two weapons past the hump at least. The other, haven't found it yet. In that region though.

now the game runs like a charm, no hint of stuttering, the flawless ws application even has a vignette effect which is very subtle and helps the game maintain a gloomy feeling. chromatic aberration can also be removed for a crispier image (I personally leave it on).
only downside for me is the loading screens where you can see the world building up in the background where the black bars once were, kinda cheesy and immersion breaking, but one can only thank the developers. I'm sure they must have some silly fixation with gaming purity of sort for not having implemented this on game release (same reason for me to worry they most likely never will).
FS could fix this over coffee break if only they wanted to. the relevant thread on Steam is reaching 230 pages, +3400 comments.
can't believe they released this game w/o proper 21;9 support, in 2022, no sir
so long for multiplayer and message spamming
p.s. contrary to my initial belief, the game turns out to be really stunning. 21:9 makes it totally immersive. also best rpg in the past 20 yrs hands down.Last edited by Lurk; Mar 5, 2022, 01:10 PM.No question is dumb if you do not know the answer.Q: How can you move on in life if all you care about is pussy and videogames?A: You don't.

I’m underground now, after a certain world event that I’m guessing is the informal midway point of the game.
This sword of night and flame is wonderful, really making a huge difference. The whole area is just massive and just….beautiful in the most foreboding way.
I’m just dreading to see what kind of a boss lives down here lol.

I gotta say, I do not love how the game decides you can use spirit allies sometimes but so often they're just not an option.

I’m still finding underground areas…I’m still amazed at just how much content is here.
One thing I can pretty much say with a clear conscience is that FromSoft has gone full sadistic.
I watched FightinCowboy take on that last boss that gave me so much trouble and even he was at a loss for words. I think that says a lot as he’s much better than I am at these.
And that underground area I just left, just say I miss the easy stuff like DaS toxins.
The flip side is that 98% of the content is just incredible, and there are rewards. One of the spirits I found, almost fully upgraded now, has wrecked mini-bosses all by itself, and does serious damage to main bossesIt’s like having a co-op partner, when I can use it
