I never looked as I had both halves of the Dectus medallion, and went to Altus Plateau instead
I haven’t gotten far into the area yet, butit’s beautiful!

Finally made my way past the fortified area to get to stormhill. Spirits really do make a huge difference for difficult fights... first time I equiped them.
I notice that the Lost Grace pools are getting pretty sparse now... a bit of a bait and switch.
"Oh yeah, a lot more save points! *"

I was getting a little frightened that I was going to die before I could find one and be forced to go through that fight several more times.Last edited by koralis; Feb 28, 2022, 07:49 AM.A hobbiest foundry and forge in progress, plans, suppliers, showcasing ideas

I loved that feeling of relief when I found a bonfire in the first game. It was / is the not knowing that adds that awesome tension to the game for me. I know it’s not for everyone, but I love it. Adds massively to the overall feeling of dread going through a difficult game
One thing I’m still confused about - in my explorations I’ve picked up some cool looking stuff, and some I can’t find anywhere in my inventory, so I don’t know if it’s a consumable, crafting related, talisman or what, and I don’t want to resort to google yet.
I’ve also opened 3 more areas > they weren’t exaggerating when they said the world was massive. And that’s just above ground. My main gripe with the overall world is not being able to fast travel between above and underground. I suppose there may be technical reasons for that….or….being Fromsoft they just want players to feel lost, disconnected, afraid and doomed.

lol, just LOL. I knew what the map had wasn't all there was. Picked up the East Liurnia map fragment and my overworld just doubled in size.I cackled like a mad fool.
Picked up a graveyard scythe that has blood loss on it, so I'm running around with that at the moment.
There is a lot of blood loss in this game I've been finding. Much more so than most Fromsoft games.
Yeah the underworld thing is from the Map screen. Either R3 to swap from overworld to underworld or you can hit triangle to get a full list. Also, don't @ me with that "My computer doesn't have a triangle button".“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid
the fear and despair of a broken human race, who is left to fight for all
that is good and pure and gets you smashed for under a fiver? Yes, it’s
the surprising adventures of me, Sir Digby Chicken-Caesar!”

Yeah I’ve tested a few effects and so far blood loss on weapons seems to be the way to go. I think I’m switching back to it for that boss encounter I’ve been dreading as she’s pretty resistant to magic. I just need a fast weapon to r1 with. I’ve tried charge attacks and it’s just too slow.
That, and I don’t stay cool enough when I think I’m starting to lose the fight. Call me sweaty hands

This game is going to get me into trouble. I can’t stop playing
I found the worst NPC invader yet. I think it wouldn’t be bad were it not for the multiple, really dangerous status effects the area itself inflicts, and the 3 heavy hitting and fast enemies it spawns in the middle of.
Fromsoft you dicks
Edit: She has a really cool curved sword with a wicked moveset. I need that sword…..

I also nearly ruined my entire Sunday due to this game lol. I spent hours memorizing Godrick's moves (I have his first half pretty good, but the second half of the fight still has high risks). Didn't beat him yet, but was close.
Best thing about this game versus other DS games that I fell off of is that I could bail on the boss grind for a bit and do something else. I found a castle I didn't see before. Killed some mini bosses. Got some loot. Went back feeling more powerful and mentally refreshed.

Elden Ring's save location is:
c:\Users\(yourname)\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing\(randomnumber)
Just copy out that folder before doing something risky and copy it back in if you mess up and want to try again. Its a perfect way to practice some things before trying it for real, but I suggest against making a habit of it as it really can ruin the game's challenge.

I also consider the 1st 2 or 3 boss attempts as dry runs to just read the boss…takes a lot of the mental stress off, and sometimes I get lucky and win.
I’ve probably lost enough runes to level 3 or 4 times (maybe 70k total-ish) and it just doesn’t bother me as much any more. It’s an amazing ride, but it’s still just a game at the end of the day.

I found another npc invader that dropped “Reduvia” which is a dagger with a wicked art - bleed is OP in this game, and this dagger levels that bleed factor by a lot. I can’t use it yet, but I’m planning on trying it out when I can. Just wicked.
Wiki-link for anyone interested.

One thing to keep in mind is this game is loaded with all different weapon types, and the most important factor for me at the end of the day is “Is it helping me progress and is it fun to use?”
And 4 STR won’t go to waste with a faith build anyway. Lots of weapons for faith scale off of STR and FTH.

Triangle button, superior button. But I'm just playing it on my ps5, cause lol at trying to upgrade my computer anytime soon. Though I will say the PS5 controllers feel good.
Welp, running around Hogwarts at the moment trying to steal the secret Whopper Recipe. At least these ones aren't invisible most of the time.
That ****in' dog man. Way too fast for my damn Scythe. Almost had me quit for a bit to cool down, except I had like 7k runes on my body. Probably wouldn't have gotten so worked up over him if you didn't have to make the bullshit suicide run back to the boss room. Had him within one hit twice. Hell, he killed me the second time I had him that low too, until my Skeletal Crew did 15 damage and finished him off from beyond the grave.
Now I'm running on the roofs trying to figure out if there's any more loot up here.
Seriously whoever got From to add jumping into the game had some serious Monkey's Paw deal going on. "Oh yeah, you can jump now." *builds everything vertically* "Have fun!" Freakin' puckering all day with these heights.
Also,
They ever explain to you why that one guy jumps you at some certain point? Trying to be super vague even in the spoiler, just for maximum non-spoilage.“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid
the fear and despair of a broken human race, who is left to fight for all

Hogwarts has fallen. I repeat, Hogwarts has fallen.
Also, **** that roof route. Got some good items up there that I'll probably never use, but holy crap it did not let me relax the entire time.

Second one Lets just say something happens when you travel to the Roundtable at some point. I'm assuming you haven't gotten it yet? I have no idea what triggered it which is why I'm a little confused.I thought you meant in Hogwarts. Nah, wrecked that dude early on. You get a nice, possibly very useful faith based item down there too

Yeah that dude. Drops a nice set of armor I can't wear without fat rolling. *shakes fist at Endurance* Even after talking to a guy, still don't know why what happened happened.
Also, pleasantly surprised that I was given another talisman pouch. Thank you nice lady, now I can wear the reduced cast time talisman.
Break time though. Looks like the servers gonna get maintenance in an hour or so. Also a chain casting idiot in the activation tower wore me down.“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid

Doesn't help if said fight would be easier than backtracking, in places that won't allow fast travel.Hi

On Xbox at least, it's saying Elden Ring game servers are down for maintenance."I'll admit it. I did try and **** her, she was married."
"I moved on her like a bitch. I couldn't get there and she was married."
"I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything."
"Grab them by the pussy."

Looks like the Xbox servers were an hour behind Playstation maintenance.
Should be good to go in an hour if their timetable is correct.
And Steams are the hour slot after that.
PS 6-7 PST
Xbox 7-8 PST
Steam 8-9 PST“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid

Lazy8s, I think i see what you meant now with the Godrick fight. I just beat him, but geez would he spam that AOE attack.
Weird thing is though, some attempts he would do it non-stop and other attempts he would be much less aggressive. I managed to get him on one of the less aggressive ones. But it was a slog of a fight. Just slow and clunky.
After the handful of bosses I've faced so far in Elden Ring, not that impressed yet. Kind of missing Nioh boss fights.
But 15k runes from Godrick. Not bad, was able to level up 3 times.

some of the dragons later on are tough mofos, jeebus.
The game certainly has a very clear way to tell you that you aren't supposed to be in a certain area.

something a lot of people seem to completely miss is to re-visit places they already have been to. Lots of NPCs, items and even quests are waiting there all over the map.
