Didn't think you were about to change characters after selecting one but it seems you can flip through each character to change things up mid game at he Belfry. Excellent!
I’m liking the game but it feels like I’m playing a Ray Tracing demo game. The world is empty, like they minimized NPCs to allow it to run at max settings. This is my main gripe so far. The game does not feel alive at all.
The story and detective work is pretty good. The crime fighting activity is repetitive, the only difference you get is whether it is a timed activity or not. The actual crimes committed can be different but it makes no difference.
I'm beginning to like this more and more as I move further into it. From starting the game off with an entirely accessible map with absolutely nothing to do/no icons on the map, like literally nothing, other than engaging thugs in the middle of their petty crimes, it has started to open up with more and more activities to do.
I said to myself, "I miss gliding through the city like I did in Arkham Knight, I kinda wished they had that option", only to then unlock the cape which enabled me to just do that. Some of the old Arkham knight fighting techniques also unlock as you go like FEAR. I was getting tired of repeating the same moves over and over.
The distant texture loading and pop in is noticeble in this, that's another gripe. When accessing the Bat computer, the game doesn't pause so you'll be beaten up whilst reading in game emails or crafting an item. I still think this is a half price game at best.
Still playing as Batgirl, her ass is hypnotizing. I kinda wish I could spit in her ass and tongue fook it all day and night but I have a city to save.....
Thanks I've been waiting for a decent discount on this one. Mind you I'm still playing in the rival's universe of Midnight Suns so may be a while before I get to play it.
Decided to grab it for an easyish and relaxing beat-em-up/investigation game to take a break from Wo Long (which is kicking my ass.) Anyone that says that all of the 4 characters play the same only did the comparisons at the beginning of the game and/or are strictly talking about straight-up fisticuffs. Even then, Robin seems more agile than Hood and can get out of the way of things more easily, etc.
I started with Batgirl (hate her voice.. had to stop that), went to Red Hood to try out the guns, and now on Robin. Have not yet tried Nightwing. Of all of them, I'm liking Robin the best, but I'm a stealth kinda guy. Later on, some of the upgrades like mines and decoys further differentiate them.
