Awesome. I actually enjoyed Far Cry 5. A change of scenery would be nice, but I like a lot of the changes they implemented. Could take or leave the story, just wasn't terribly interesting and the characters while decently done, just not that memorable. Never bothered with New Dawn, that just looks appalling.

Tropical setting would be okay. But this is Ubisoft, and we know they'll explore something that's not been done before in the series. So assuming it's on Earth, I'll go for outback Australia (+dreamtime) or the dense jungles in South America (+mayan sacrifice). Outside chance of some cheeki breeki action too.

We'd have some serious issues if they tried to do dreamtime. You have no idea how hard tv stations pushed just to get it on tv. I dont think it would go down very well in aus. I would however like to see an fps set in aus.

I was kinda hoping 6 would take place in the Western Mountain ranges. This will be the biggest roadblock when we're invaded from the east.

I liked 4, maybe it was all the caves and climbing
5 was really good except for the time wasting captures
New Dawn is the epitome of FPS user interfaces and control. PERFECT!
Primal, didn't think I'd like it but being chased down by elephants BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM and riding a sabre tooth cat is just too much fun.

Considering the supposed leaked rumor about Far Cry 5 back in 2017...

The setting of Far Cry 5, or whatever the next Far Cry game ends up being called, has apparently leaked online in the most unconventional way.

This all indicates the trailer is for a Spaghetti Western game, or at least a game set in 19th century America.

...maybe the leak was simply ahead of its time?

The Far Cry gameplay formula is old and tired. I skipped Far Cry 5 and whatever its sequel was, and I'll likely skip this one too unless they really change things up for the better.

They've all been the same since FC3, arguably FC2. I would say Primal is probably the only major diversion for the franchise because of the setting and basic mechanics, but it's still the Far Cry 3 style.

yeah BD I guess was a bit different, more of a parody. Great game indeed. Then again I've liked them all pretty much except less so for FC2 and FC4.

Im the other way around. Far Cry 3 was decent, until the ending, but i found outside far cry, Far Cry 2 and Blood Dragon to be the best ones. I actually liked most of far cry 2. Remove the stupid spawning, and the dumb choice consequences, and the game was awesome. It just wasnt Far Cry.
