I just finished another run through Doom 2016 and it was even better the second time though lol. They've got the formula back. I really hope they don't screw with it too much, but either way, I'm pre-ordering it. Which I never do any more. Yeah

This looks pretty good, but I think i'll wait for the release. I was thinking more open worldish like Diablo, that's a bit closed quartered. But that may be good, and not quite the art direction I was hoping for. Will definitly check it out though, thanks!

I agree. Actually all of this are closer to Brutal Doom which was the mod of original Doom. Don't get me wrong Doom 2016 was excellent and I'm still playing it, but I like to to be more 'mature' instead of glory kills and double jumping everywhere.

DOOM 3 was dark, tight, relatively few enemies, more scary than pumped. It was a far cry from DOOM '93s light, open, lots of enemies, pumping action.

DOOM '16 is certainly the more truthful successor to DOOM than DOOM 3 ever hoped to be. DOOM 3 is a product of its time, pretty much around the peak of the post-Half-Life generation. But it lost its connection to DOOM's brutal action. DOOM16 brought that back with a vengeance. D:Eternal looks like it's going a bit far out, but brutal action is the more logical path for a DOOM game than a calm, spooky path.

Doom 3 and Doom 16 are totally different games imo. I loved Doom 3 for what it was and loving '16 for what it is.

I mean it looks good but its really just more of the same. The first couple of reveal scenes were hard to watch because they were playing with a controller(you can tell by movement) and that takes away a lot of the speed of the game.

What I liked about the video is now it incorporate two of the things I wanted in the 2016 release, a sidestep boost and that super shotgun ability that can grapple enemy and get close to it. Many times I frustrated because cacodemon get staggered way too high in the air to glory kill.
