This game is good but I want to see a classic resident evil made In this style. Ouraborours or whatever they are called are fine and dandy, but I want zombies.

I played for another 2-3 hours last night. All I can say is, the whole scene/game play inside the garage with Jack was probably one of the best experiences I've had in a game in a long time.

I was actually laughing my ass off at what transpired.

ok, i looked into it. the taa adds blurry, and so does texture filtering level, AND the resolution scaling adds a whole lot of sharpness.
I think its neat that this game just slows down when it cant handle the settings, instead of hitching and popping. My laptop slows down to 45FPS with everything all the way up, but still stays very smooth

Game runs flawless, at least on my system. I'm also running a pretty stout PC so YMMV. I've got every setting maxed out. Only thing I turned off was Chromatic Aberration. 2560x1440 resolution.

Just note, this game chews through VRAM. I noticed on my GTX 1080, it was using all 8GB.

So far I am at part where I finished watching second video. Game is the Alien Isolation of Resident Evil which is great because it is superbly well done.

Graphically, it uses impressive techniques to cheat you into realism and awesome atmosphere. It isn't taxing but because of how smartly they use assets/lights/post processing/design which combined give the impression of a super taxing scene that looks impressive. Really well done in that department.

I had stutters on my 980 Ti which I narrowed down to turning AO to SSAO (was HBAO+) and Shadow Caching to OFF.

Really can't wait for the day to be over so I can get back and continue playing!

i got past figuring out the way to get the red button to work. This game really has me. The faces the wife makes are crazy, skin is well done. I am playing with headphones, and there is so much ambient sound and effects, i have to turn the bass down, and turn ambient down. its like the game is always making music and sounds like the climax of a horror film. Very engaging. Several OMG! jump moments , like in the water was nasty wow. The filters are done well , hand give everything a smooth polished look.

I installed those new drivers last night and my 1080 wouldn't boost past 1700mhz in this game. I don't know. So I rolled back to the previous version.

Seems like the game goes full shootbang eventually, I think I'm fine with that, as that is part of the resident evil dna.

good to know, i havent installed on my desktop, with 1080.
but on the last gen, 970m, it helps a lot.

Odd shimmering going on with wet surfaces, not played around with the setting which are all on max and it runs smooth for me and looks great apart from the wet shimmers.

the shimmering is a known bug with reflections, turn reflections to variable or off to fix it. obviously, off will fix it, but cariable is what you need. There isnt even an indication that option exists, but it does.

I loved it. I haven't beaten a game in a long time. Only thing I didn't really enjoy was the boss battles, but that might just be how Resident Evil games play, and now having beat it, I get that it's all about timing. I honestly haven't played any since I was a kid. I could do it again a lot faster.

I couldn't do the blurry. I could still see it while in-action, but it's pretty easy to make sharp with what they provide you with in the options. Mainly texture filtering and the rendering scale.

just got to the part with the
ship. now it really feels like classic RE, running back from monsters and shooting / alarm sounds. Also not sure how much the game changes which woman you pick.

Got through the first 'arena' boss fight, shame you have to beat them in a predesignated way only, and 'not enough slots' for device was rather annoying for a part of it... still muddling through, nice and atmospheric still.

I use that too! . I just meant i noticed a few of your areas have a grey tint to them. And i keep mine up a little also, this gayme is a little too dark sometimes.

I'd rank this game a 2-2.5 on jump scares. 5 being the highest. There's been a few so far, but know where near being over done in my opinion.

The game is awesome so far. It's a Resident Evil game through and through.

there is some Reshade files to remove blur, i cant get it to work, re7 fails upon opening... dang it. anyone else try it?

@ 40, I truly think my gaming days are over.

I have no doubts this is an awesome game but I play 10 to 20 minutes and I just get bored with it.

BF1 same thing(quit playing after 3 weeks), Doom(awesome for 2 weeks, done) same thing, etc, etc.

it gets better. i felt a little stagnant too, but play a little while longer TY! i promise it gets better. I put in two hrs last night, and wow this is a neat idea. Keep goiooong!

Edit: i nver finished doom after lvl 3, and battlefield was meh to me too. i didnt even like the demo.

reshade helps a ton for the blurryness using taa and fxaa. you have to put the game in borderless window , not fullscreen, or it fails when starting. freaking sharp now!

How do people play this game! Played about 5min's of the demo, only went into about 3 rooms. Decided maybe it wasn't a good idea just before bed time
