Prepare yourself to one of the most retarded save systems EVER i was playing Dead Space 3 then i add to quit and leave the game, when i got into it again, i add lost ONE HOUR of very hard gameplay, i gave up on it right there, went online and discovered that this game, has a save system that sometimes only saves your inventory not the story gameplay, it requires that you reach some predetermined checkpoint for it to save everything, if you for some reason have to quit before that you are screwed.
And more retarded it doesn't even saves AT ALL on the opcional missions that can last 30 minutes to a hour, depending on your difficulty!

Dead Space 1 and 2 add more or less a good save system (i prefer save anywhere) why change something that is not broken?! IMO is just change for the sake of change.

No problem, about saving when you quit, i also thought so, because i saw the saving symbol at regular intervals but it ONLY saves your inventory not your game progress if you quit before the right checkpoint, when you get into the game again it will put you at the last game progress save checkpoint, with full inventory but that can mean redoing a big chunk of gameplay all over again because the checkpoints are also far and between.

EA and Visceral really screwed big time on this game save system.

It saves when you quit, but you still have to restart the side mission levels which can be 30mins long.
