What a difference a bit of SweetFx makes in Injustice Gods Among Us Sorry for the large images and if your browser is shitty then they may not animate since they are animated PNG's. I have a few others but you would have to download them and open them to see the before and after so I am just uploading static images after Harley and Raven.

I'm not using sweetfx for this. Maybe it's because there's less compression in my shots. If it were not frowned upon I'd just upload the png's but we still have dial up users apparently.

Theres no discernible difference between a high quality jpg and a png other than size. The 21:9 AR makes them look a bit nicer compared to 16:10/16:9 though.

I'd upload some 1080p Injustice SweetFx on/off comparison in animated png format but I get the feeling the game isn't really liked around here or anywhere else

Not to mention I don't know a site that supports animated png's that size and that allows hotlinking.

We got to go down to pixel level to tell? We arent doing production work here.. most of these screenshots will be looked at for no more than a 20 seconds at most. No real difference between a high quality jpeg and a png for 99% of the population. Besides what settings were used for the jpeg?

Well damn I must have cleared out the screenshots at somepoint after logical said the game sucks. I'll get some shots tomorrow/this afternoon and upload them. I think I'll grab some static shots of Injustice at 3200x1800 while I'm at it.

They are throwing 20-30mb pictures up for no reason other than they can. Theres no visual difference between a 30mb png and a very high quality jpg other than the 25mb difference in size. Like Thirdeye pointed out, you literally have to go down to the pixel level and even then I dont even know what his jpg compression was for the comparison.

With Irfanview, saving as a relatively high quality jpeg while disabling color subsampling (it's a checkbox option) removes all discernible difference for me.
