You guyses who think the game is too easy. You must not have gotten very far. At least half the enemies in the game you cant just attack relentlessly. Even on normal.

I always feel over powered in this game. And whenever I do run into a little trouble I simply retreat a bit and the enemies are all leashed back to their starting points. Its a joke, I think I've died maybe once in 40 hours of play time playing on blood and broken bones. I am spoiled by Dark Souls and Ninja Gaiden difficulty.

Trashmobs like the drowners can get annoying on deathmarch.

Its a very good game so far, but man using a xbox controller for this and controlling dude or his horse is really bad like driving a car with a wide turn radius or something. Also annoying how you have to sometimes be at a weird angles to pick stuff up. Minor complaints, anyone else have these issues?

Yes I think the controls were the biggest issue being complained about when the game was released. They are pretty bad in this game, but you can get used to them.

I never used a controller before but I bought a wireless Xbox 360 controller for Windows just for this game. Pretty fun to use it. I though that's just the way all games played like Witcher 3 with a controller. Is it supposed to be more precise or what?

It could be partly personal preference, but I feel Witcher 3's controls to be quite clumsy compared to other 3rd person games.

It definitely feels that way to me. It is probably one of the worst (controlling wise) that I have played in a long time.

Been playing the game about 4 hours and still level 1.

Combat is very hard. Im on the 3rd difficult setting and iam dying all the time.

The controls feel ok to me (using XBOne controller on PC) but the combat is a bit clumsy. Is there a skill/potion/sign I can use to reduce the stun duration when I get knocked back?

Overall I think the normal difficulty is fine. I've died a few times but it's not too difficult unless I do something stupid. Just gotta remember to put the right oil on my sword for ghouls and wraiths.

I notice these issues more on my PS4 with the controller than with my mouse and keyboard on PC. With the PC the game controls better during running but I find combat better with the controller since on PC I feel I miss some dodge rolls.

So really I feel some issues on both versions of the game. PC I find much harder to master but I am getting there. Recently, I have adapted to the time delay between pressing space and the dodge roll actually taking place.

Firstly, get in the habit of using quen a lot in the early goings.

Then, a good combat strategy for monsters is to let the enemy strike at you first, dodge STEP (not roll) away and then quickly counter strike back at them. This will keep you within range to attack much better than rolling, plus your spell will regenerate quicker.

Against humans learn to use counter/parry except vs heavy weapon wielding enemies. It is an automatic win.

                                              Under-performed?
One Bioware for example can only dream to reach this number.

Btw the game is released 12 weeks ago, and these are results for first 6 weeks. So it has sold probably even more?

They went for something more realistic. You have simply been brainwashed into believeing whats "real" motion by previous 3rd person action games. It's the same with the last two gta games. They will improve over time.

You can, but its just sooo much easier in Witcher 3. Don't know how to really explain it, except saying your margin of error is much tighter in the Souls games. Also, IIRC in Bloodborne the enemies will chase you forever.

CDPR is not square enix, so why reference at all? The reason why CDPR released this statement is to show how they are more then satisfied with the sales. F***ing logical!

TW2 has sold only 1.7 mil copies in the first year. While TW3 over 6 mil in only 40 days. That's the reason to celebrate and huge success for this company.

But CDPR is antithesis to every other company, especially big companies. So don't compare it with ****ing square enix, at all.

Boy, you really gave it to me.

I will hold my head in shame for the rest of the day and ponder what I can do to be a better person going forward.

                                                                    Comment

Much preferred to the over-emotional response to an otherwise benign statement about video game sales numbers.

The thing is that i have before said to Mangler how i don't take his statements seriously, hence my post. And he knows this.
