I am having a very hard time killing the Wild Hunt gay in Wandering in the Dark quest on PC. Took me 3 tries on the PS4 but on PC, I am getting slashed by him to no end.

Yes, I am not sure what is happening on that one. Maybe I am under levelled since when I did it on PS4 I was level 6. On PC I am level 5 only.

Also on PS4, I just ran behind him and kept slicing. On PC it seems he turns faster and has a wider arc. Ofcourse, all of these are excuses and my first 2 tries on him have been without result and that is why I am bitching. Maybe on next try I own him lol.

PC added a special trick to that fight.

drop coins in front of Keira and she flashes bad guy. He drops his sword and you cut him while he's looking at her

I'm enjoying however not sure I'm doing it right as I keep crossing higher level creatures during quest, is that right and do I just avoid ? Or should I be levelling up more before I follow the main story ?

Make sure you are the right level when taking on a quest. Levels are stated next to the quest when you take it up.

Anyone ever come up with a solution to the ridiculous NPC-Pop-In? Absolutely adore this game but having people appear literally a foot in front of you is killing the immersion. Doing my best to ignore it (meditating seems to get them to spawn) but it happens so frequently its really irritating.

I actually haven't noticed that... Happening while riding quickly on horseback?

Haven't tried to be honest, I tend to only use roach when I'm going far distances. Otherwise I like doing most things on foot (just personal preference I guess). Pop-In happens mostly in novigrad, or any of the little villages in Skellige and Velen. Not sure if happens to any npcs with dialog just the randoms.

Who did that? LOL.... My single 390 seems to run it all pretty well. 50-60 FPS with Hairworks on all (not just Geralt), low preset, 4x AA (all in game sliders). All other settings on Ultra, All Post Processing on.

Last night I tried with with Hairworks on high and it was about 32-34 FPS. I could feel the difference though, so I just went back to the low preset. Still looks good!

It was bad in the vanilla version, but one of the patches fixed it for me.

Well ****, apparently I screwed myself over in the romance options... I'm really not a fan of how they lock you into the romance choices so far before the consequences. I'd like to change my choice, but that was a 100 hours ago...

Speak of the devil, this is what just happened to me. I'm kind of annoyed by the outcome.

I mean if any guy has ever had a legit excuse for loving two women it's Geralt. He fell in love with Triss while he had amnesia, so just because he gets his memories back doesn't mean he would suddenly stop caring about Triss. I assumed that at some point in the game the ladies would make me choose, but apparently the game forces you to basically say "I don't care about you" to one of them unless you want the crap ending.

Yeah, but in this case the way the choices were presented were bullshit. The game is phenomenal, but the way they handled this was poorly done.


Even if they wanted to keep it the same by making it so it ruins your chances at a romantic relationship with both, they could have at least given some conversations afterwards so you don't have to play the game feeling like two of the most important characters in Geralt's life no longer give a crap if he lives or dies.

Does anybody know of a SweetFX profile that will work with patch 1.08 and take the terrible yellowness on everything out of the dam game? my old one doesn't work anymore. BTW I'm using Windows 10 if that makes a difference.

Yea I actually looked ahead prior to my choosing. I was going for the keeping it open choice after banging triss. I figured worst, I had already sacked Yen so even if I got that blue balls ending it's fine. However, Triss was not sacked and Yen bitch is never out to give any. Geralt be hitting them red lanterns.

I bought the PS4 version, then scored a free copy for PC a couple weeks later.. The same thing happened with GTAV. Again with Alien Isolation. And again with MGS:GZ and then MGSV. Needless to say once I got the PC versions I never touched the PS4 copies again.

Now I hardly have anything to play on PS4, which was the point of buying them for PS4 in the first place.. and wasted all that cash.

FFS, I'm not buying multiplat games for PS4 anymore.

The NG+ DLC is coming out soon too. So you can start over without losing your gear or level.
