But you had better scaling at fs according to your post.

So going borderless with two keplers is probably not a good idea, since they are way slower than a maxwell gpu in this title.

Full screen helped on my 34" monitor. FS and Borderless on the 27" was same performance. I was getting 60-90's on the 27" and on this 34" i get 40-60's but it feels like 20's using borderless window. Using FS now so no biggie.

Finally finished the game after over 150 hours of play.

Despite its faults, it's hands down the best RPG I've ever played. The story, characters, and world are second to none. If not for the disappointing combat and other flaws like poor movement and occasional bugs and glitches, it'd be damned near perfect.

Although Fallout 4 is coming later this year, I just can't see it topping this game. The Witcher 3 isn't just the Game of the Year--it may very well be one of the best games ever, regardless of year or genre.

I think I decided last night I am just going to clean up the rest of my current secondary and contract quests that are ranked lvl 10 and under, then just focus on the main quests so to get through the damn game sometime this century. After that I can work on the rest of the side stuff over the next decade.
You shouldn't ignore the secondary quests entirely as some of them are important to the ending, which most likely means you won't be able to do them once you finished the main quest.

Yeah I've been doing literally every quests and not skipping any and I think I got burnt out. I'm gonna take a break and then just focus on the main quests. This game is HUGEEEEEEEEE.

Guys, dont skip secondary quests, just skip the witcher contracts.

If we skip witcher contracts, won't we be:

                  a.) poorer, less $
b.) missing out on some unique monsters?

                  maybe I'm wrong.

Obviously we'll be missing out on certain rewards and things if we skip content. I understand and that's a choice I am making so I can get through the damn game in a relatively timely manner. I am no completionist.

SLI *can* work in borderless window mode, but does not always. Often times, an SLI profile is needed. Crossfire, on the other hand, absolutely does *not* work in borderless window mode. That's the primary reason I switched back to NV after owning multiple R9 290s.

When I loaded the game after installing 1.07 all my graphics settings were reset to default. Make sure you put them all back to how you had them and see how performance is. I am seeing no performance difference after putting my settings back.

In game AA seems to be working for me. I see the visual improvement, and it affects performance.
You're right, my settings got defaulted. I set back to max settings without hairworks again. More consistent framerate now than when on version 1.06, but not a 10 frame avg jump.

unique monsters, sure, but only in so much as this one has a beard, or is blue, and that one is a queen. The contracts are straight up geralts work, and they mostly only provide work. IE exp and gold. There ARE a few that are side quests in themseves, or have actual unique "monsters" but maybe 10-15% off them. Im not saying dont do them at all, but skip them over side quests. They also are the biggest reason why people out level the main story missions too. I personally think they should mostly be left unless you either need the cash or you have made it to (name of place near the start of the end game) kaer morhen

So being still new to the game, how are Witcher contracts obtained? From my understanding they're posted on those board things in each town.

Just trying to differentiate between 'secondary quests' and witcher contracts, so I can avoid being overwhelmed with things to do. I'll take your suggestion and leave out the contracts.

Finished the Bloody Baron and Witches of Crook bag big some crap. Damn one quest took 2.5 hours to complete. At this rate, this game is never finishing. Playing it twice makes things even more difficult. Plus I am clicking every single dialog choice lol.

                                            Love this game.

I enjoyed the contracts. I'd suggest just not leaving an area before clearing 4 or 5, then move on.

Other quests available will show as exclamation points on the world map after you've discovered areas.

I still wouldn't suggest skipping anything if the game seems too long. I've discovered too many amazing things in contracts, side quests, and random exploring to consider skipping over anything. Some side quests are more entertaining than many full games. I can only play a few hours a week so I plan on just clearing out my inventory of games to play and focus on this game for the coming months. I got the season pass for my Bday last month. So, I may not play another game this year. Unless something comes up to eclipse this game I doubt I will mind it. My only problem is that I never want to quit and am continually staying up too late. My old body won't hold up much longer!! Lucky for me it was pouring rain last weekend so I got a good 5 hours of Witcher 3 in... It is the only game I have been playing since it came out in May. At this rate, I probably won't be done until some time in September. Relaxing and taking your time with a quality game like this only increases the immersive experience. Forget about rushing through it. Treat it like an escape you can visit whenever you have some spare time.

I feel the same way. I'm doing all side quests and I know that I'm one of the few who has experienced as much as I have. A friend at work played it - he has time at home to play 5+ hours a day on the weekdays and 12+ on the weekends. He didn't start it until mid-June and was done with it early this month. He blasted through it in the last 30 hours or so and skipped 50% of the side quests.

I tried talking to him about the Geralt in Prison scenaro followed by the Cave of Dreams, the Hym quest, and the Greenhouse Effect quest in Kaer Moren, and he shut me up because he didn't remember anything like that and didn't want me to spoil anything in the event he might play through it again...

I'm not addicted to the game like I have been in games past, but I also recognize there's nothing better to be playing. In fact, the only reason I'm taking the time to make this post is because the game is updating for the new DLC.

Just trying to differentiate between 'secondary quests' and witcher contracts, so I can avoid being overwhelmed with things to do. I'll take your suggestion and leave out the contracts.
You have a place in your quest journal specifically for contracts, but yes, mostly if not all of them come from notice boards.

I verified game cache, running in fullscreen and max graphical settings. Not sure how to fix this or if a patch should fix it. Only game that does this btw.

Every time I would quit the game, it would still be running and I had to kill the process in task manager. So maybe its a recent issue with Steam.

She was definitely a pain in the ass. I learned the hard way not to be too aggressive. Stay inside the circle and wait for her to come to you. Then dodge (not roll) and 2 fast attacks. Don't get greedy because she leads you out of the circle where you get owned. Try and keep Quen up as much as you can in case you make a mistake. If you have 2nd level Quen use it if your health is low, otherwise pound some swallow. The best thing I ever did was bind the dodge key to an extra mouse button. USE IT or die!!

I just had to get a sword that did enough damage to kill her. I'd say leave her and come back when you've leveled up more. To me she was one of the hardest to beat in the whole game at her level. She should have been at least a level 15-20 quest instead of a 10.
