It really sucks that non-pc owners have to deal with a capped 20 fps in some areas because of vsync.

At least according to digital foundry.

what's with the part 1 of 2? When i try to download it, it tells me to insert disk?On Gog?
When i download part 2, it gives an error on VLC?? Something about a uni decoder?Demons run when a good man goes to war,Night will fall and drown in sun
When a good man goes to war, Friendship dies and true love lies, Night will fall and the dark will rise
When a good man goes to war, Demons run but count the cost , The battles won but the child is lost

anyone getting a "matchcount" error? the game still launches but that error pops-up every time now.
@ patches being free.
nice to see books register whether they've been read or not.
update - the error i was getting upon launch was due to an out-of-date mod i have installed.Last edited by Dungeoncrawler; Jul 19, 2015, 09:53 AM.

I played the entire time at 30fps with hairworks on, I'm starting to wonder if 60fps with hairworks off is more worth it.
Edit:
Actually adjusting the hairworks AA lets me have 50-60fps with hairworks turned on!Last edited by Brainstew; Jul 18, 2015, 11:56 AM.Let him not vow to walk in the dark, who has not seen the nightfall.

Damn... This patch has done an amazing job at optimization. I'd wager my framerates are doubled... from an average 20 to average 40. To the best of my knowledge, I reset all settings to the same they were before the patch.
Alternate movement seems more unwieldy to me... I'm using keyboard/mouse. I prefer the original movement scheme.
Thought I'd lose more weight with the crafting materials being set to zero... looks like everything weighed maybe 15 pounds.

New patch didn't change performance on my favorite platform. The inventory is much better. The weight change was like 2 kg lol. However, I have a saddlebag now and am pumping 90 kg with me. Reached level 8 and completed witches of the wood. Now going after bloody baron.
New movement did nothing for me.

One of the best patches I've seen for a game in a long time. CDPR's are still showcasing that they give the best post release support of any developer on the planet. Their taking what was already one of the best games I've ever played and are making it better.
My favorites:- Much better movement controls.
- Books have their own inventory tab.
- It shows when you've read a book.
- Alchemy ingredients are weightless.
- Storage chest!!!!
- On the world map you can now jump between your current location and the quest marker. This was something I really wanted, but didn't expect them to add.
- Performance increase and no more stuttering.

Apparently most gamers expect every bug to be fixed at the same time. Personally I'd rather focus on the positive and point out what a great patch this is.Let him not vow to walk in the dark, who has not seen the nightfall.

Best post release support is Egosoft.[Good Old Games]- No DRM or Copy Protection
- You buy it you keep it
- Play the classics
- Vista/XP Compatible

Think I'll uninstall gog galaxy - its just not working for me. Applying the patches/DLCs manually works..
I'll stick to steam versions next time <.<ASUS PG279Q | ASUS Strix GTX 1080 Ti OC 2025MHz/12.2GHz | Intel i7 3770K 4.7GHz [Noctua NH-U12P SE2] | 2x8GB G.Skill TridentX DDR3-2400 10-12-12-31-1T | Fractal Design R4 | Be Quiet! As for the new controls, man they feel so much better. The game is actually fun to play now."The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits." -- Albert Einstein
