Really enjoying this game, and yeah...there is some serious attention to detail. Only nitpick I can find so far is the weather. It always seems to be windy as hell and raining.Combat is a lot more fun than I remember.

Still one of my favorite games ever, and I'm not typically an RPG fan. I love the characters, stories, and world as a whole.
I just got the Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone DLC during the winter sale and started playing again with my previous level 38 character. The Blood and Wine new region is really a nice change of pace. I find there are long sequences on the main quest in that DLC that is more dialogue, but the stories really do keep you engaged. It's not difficult, but I like it more for the stories and interactions that the combat (which isn't bad, but I do resort to using the roll move a lot.)

I just hope they learned this lesson this time and don't release promotional material of the game running with graphics that they can't make work in the launch version of the game.Let him not vow to walk in the dark, who has not seen the nightfall.

Haha that's not gonna changeThey'll show off the game running at its very current best like everyone else has been doing for decades. It's good marketing. Anyone else besides marketing might do it differently, I know I would. Be humble etc. But marketing? Nope
Game continues development, then tweaking starts, and it will change. Luckily the consoles are quite powerfull again.

Enjoying the hell out of this game. I'm probably 20-25hrs into it. Just kind of having fun running around playing Gwent in between the quests. That card game is pretty fun.

Enjoying the hell out of this game, but sometimes the decision making process and the consequences are just frustrating as hell.
You do "what you think is right", and it bites you in the ass. I wanted to ditch Triss for her being a pain in the ass.
I really dislike this decision stuff in a lot of games, as it seems developers think the only way to show you've made an impactful decision is by having very negative emotional reactions or consequences within the game no matter what you do. You choose to save A, but B dies. You choose to save B, but A dies. You save both A and B, but everyone is pissed at you anyway because it affected them in some goofy way.

if you went around saving people, you did it wrong, geralt is supposed to be neautral, he's supposed to stay out of peoples affairs unless he gets paid to slay a monster. It's not a normal rpg. You CAN play anyway you want, but unlike normal rpgs where the correct path is the goode one, here its the neautral one.Never put off tomorrow what you can put off today!

This is what makes their games stand out from the others. Few other games have made me reload an older save to replay a quest in attempt to get a different outcome, no matter how inconsequential to the main plot/game path.
They put significant effort into all possible paths, so it's actually worth replaying a quest even if the first outcome is the desired one.

The Bloody Baron Questline was like that. I remember I had to make a tough choice.
I helped the Tree Spirit to save the children, but the Baron's wife died and he hung himself. I felt better about that decision when I saw the sign at Novigrad that said the children were recently accepted into the orphanage there, so the Tree Spirit kept it's promise.

i also loved the REAL choices because they actually had an impact on the story. Sadly most games only give the Illusion, as KAC said. Hell, i even played numerous times through DA because i wanted to see all the char-stories and different endings.
If a game actually manages to make you think about decisions, then it's a good game.

I chose to slay the tree because it was just so much easier to do. I felt bad when I found out the tree was really a good spirit. But knowing the baron and wife would've died makes me feel a little better. Then again, the children. F this game.May the Yods be silent

It's still the one thing in this game that drives me nuts. It's always freakin raining. I'm about to enable the console thing and just do the stoprain command every time it rains.

I actually bought this game when it was released and put it off for far too long for some reason. Just got to skeli and am really enjoying it. To be honest I regret not playing through the first two again beforehand. I don't remember a lot of what happened in the first two at this point. Moreso with the first game.
Really wish that I could pull off 4k. Been using the TV and gamepad. The game is a looker for sure.Originally posted by ManglerGood work guys, we can't have too many positive posts in a row on this forum.
