I played on blood and broken bones I think. I found it challenging my first play through. My second play through I zipped through it and skipped a lot of stuff but I got the ending that I wanted with my bitch Yenefer. She is a douche though, I should of went with triss.

I think people who say the game is easy ar misrepresenting it. It's a rpg through and through, with some very decent action style combat thrown in. It is not dark souls. Being over leveled, or more importantly, being experienced with the combat is always going to make the combat "easy" in a rpg. Name me a single rpg that didnt get easy at some point, either because you were over leveled, or because you had gotten experienced with the combat.
This is polish skyrim, polish final fantasy, not polish souls.Never put off tomorrow what you can put off today!

Once I mastered the wonky controls I found the game very easy, playing on blood and broken bones. But I didn't play it for its challenge. The real draw for me in the great writing of the quests and characters, and the beautiful atmosphere. This is not a skill based action RPG, its just the Witcher.

It's normal that the game is easier if you play it again. Every game is cause you know to play it properly.
And this definitely isn't Polish Skyrim. W3 has 10 times more quality. Can be compared with Gothic, and even developers state this.

I'm not saying it's the games fault. I'm saying I'm a God at the game... Duh... Lmao.
I don't mind it. I mastered the combat which made it a lot easier.
I'm more curious why I had such a hard time my first time playing and now I'm cruising without much challenge. I thought maybe they nerfed deathmarch but apparently not. I was killing lvl25 mobs at lvl17, though it took forever.Originally posted by curioEat this protein bar, for it is of my body. And drink this creatine shake, for it is my blood.

Yo dawg the HoS story is simple. Geralt is looking for a ho to bust a nut to. He talks to this one to dude who sells mirrors for a living and turns out to be creep coz all of his mirrors are two way. So he sneaks into people's homes and plays le voyeur. Geralt is like "farewell." But can't coz honor and deal. So he works with this other dude called von whateveric to drive mirror seller out business but you must kill his wife coz it's like some insurance scam but the gardener cockblocks you coz he's all up in dat ass and cashing the husband's checks easy peasy.Jim Lahey: You know whats at work here? Its **** tectonics. When two **** plates strike and come together under incredible pressure, what happens Bubbs?

Agreed, however, don't get stupidly excited for it either, it is just a side story, about the same size as any of the single quest chains in the main game. It doesn't really bring anything more to the game. Blood and wine though, thats a goode old expansionNever put off tomorrow what you can put off today!

What the hell did they do to the game? I am getting insane performance lately with everything maxed at 1440 including hairworks with tess on 8x. I haven't seen what actual frame rates are but this wouldn't have been playable before BaW, it is definitely well over 30fps now.RIP John Dunsworth

Just finished the main story.
truly thought Cirilla died in order to defeat the white frost. was wonderful to see her alive. I wish I could have been able to have my own version of her sword, though ..
i also stuck with Yennefer (not sure if it was an option to get triss back?). i loved her attitude that **** was great.
overall, one of the best games i've ever played and by far one of the greatest stories told through a video game.
i hope that CDPR continues ciri's story as a witcher without mutations. i also want to know what happens to avallac'h after ciri gets geralt to spare him ..Originally posted by curioEat this protein bar, for it is of my body. And drink this creatine shake, for it is my blood.

Can't seem to use the debug console. I'm using a French azerty keyboard, but for some crazy reason, i don't find the ' key. because as far as i know it's like this additem(' samum3') for example. Just because i can't find the stupid ' key ingame, i cannot use the debug console. Frustrating. the symbol is right on the 4 key, but for some reason the game itself will not use find the symbol.... Also it seems that the () ( 5 & ) ) on the keyboard are 9 & 0 ingame???Demons run when a good man goes to war,Night will fall and drown in sun
When a good man goes to war, Friendship dies and true love lies, Night will fall and the dark will rise

Yes of course. It was funny at first but now just listening to it makes me feel sick. I have to put in an effort to understand it. Also normally, I don't listen to the full thing and quickly read sub-T and move on. Now I have to wait to listen to the full thing because reading the sub-T makes my OCD go bonkers!

Overview of all 7 available voiced localizations of Witcher 3.Like if you enjoyed this video and subscribe if you wan't more of this!Fallout 4 Voice localiza...
Stumbled across this. Might just be me, but I can't imagine Geralt as having any other voice other than English. The other voices just seem to lack charisma, even the native Polish version.
On the flip side, the Japanese version is hilarious.

I think the french voices sound pretty goode!!
Hells, tell me the french yennifer doesnt match the character perfectly?
Seriously, ciri too.. the ****... i have to play the whole thing again in fromage now!!!
EDIT: one thing thing video does prove though... they REALLY need to start using actors who are at least close to the build and age of the characters.Last edited by theshadowcult; Jul 5, 2016, 11:49 AM.Never put off tomorrow what you can put off today!

The Duchy is hot, but so far the expansion is not as appealing as hearts of stone. I'm not even sure how much I've done but the main quests have been very rigid and quite dull. Lots of a > teleport > b > teleport > c > quest complete etc. Where a/b/c are a few conversations and maybe a fight you are thrown into. There doesn't even seem to be much choice and consequence stuff yet?
One of the side quests wants me to travel halfway across the world to complete 5 simple (i assume) tasks, yawn.
The main quest in the vampire dungeon annoyed me because the game automatically ends the mission in the middle of a fight AND you are immediately taken to another place so no loot gathering etc. That's stupid and nowhere near the attention to detail I expected.
I don't really like Toussaint much either, the atmosphere around smaller towns seems bland.

Did the latest patches also had a unsuspected graphic update? Since Blood & Wine my game gets annoyingly impossible to play in places where are houses and lots of people. Novigrad i'm trying to walk around but it takes literally 10 seconds before the game responds to my keys. Making a turn makes the game look like Geralt is swimming in butter...Demons run when a good man goes to war,Night will fall and drown in sun

There were some performance changes a few patches ago, but i don't think there was anything specific in blood and wine. Or at least, i don't notice a frame rate different between the maps. That said, there is a colour grading effect going on in the toussaint map. Maybe thats messing with you? It is technically an added post processing effect... and messess with the sharpening valueNever put off tomorrow what you can put off today!

I noticed a massive increase in performance with whatever they did with the B&W expansion/1.22 patch. I could just be crazy though. Or it could be my 1050/1400 oc on my 290 I am not sure, which I've only been able to achieve after getting rid of my absolutely ancient computer case. This new case dropped temps on everything by over 10c.RIP John Dunsworth

So without any spoilers, is the turning point in Blood and Wine really a "turning point"? Because it sure seems like the end game to me.
I thought it would be like the turning point in the original campaign finding Ciri for the first time , but this sure is playing out like an end game. I'm at the point where I'm fighting Detlaff. I chose the path to kill him, but everything since storming the castle was linear and time doesn't even advance. .
If this is really the end game then man the B&W campaign sure was shorter than I expected.

To be honest some of the B&W feels too rushed, the attention to detail isn't there as consistently as W3 or HoS. I think they put a bit too much effort into the side tasks / world and the main story suffers a bit. My guess is the main w3 guys transitioned to Cyberpunk 2077.
Minor near-end quest spoiler... after one later quest there is a 3 day deadline and the cut scenes leapfrog each other and suddenly it's 3 days and the deadline is over....there are other examples of this
There were some good moments in B&W. dining with vampires, spoon witch and the fable world I quite like Regis as a character and that quest after the end is a good finisher. But I have to admit that I found HoS far stronger in it's main thread and characters (Shani, Gaunter, Von Everec etc)
I finished B&W in about 22hrs, although I didn't do a heap of side tasks because they seemed boring. Shorter than I expected, but you can def get much more if you want to just explore. 60% of the world (outside villages) was undiscovered for me. HoS was about 14hrs.Last edited by nutcrackr; Jul 9, 2016, 07:30 PM.

Yeah, turning point is really end point. And I got the worse ending....needless to say I reloaded to an earlier save point and chose the other branch instead.
Turns out that other path had a huge new area to explore, with notice board quests inside. And it's more fun... That other path with the Unseen Elder was really bleak. And I wanted to kick his ass so bad, how dare they put in a beast that even Geralt cannot defeat. Needs to be a future DLC where you come back for his vampire ass.

To be fair, he may have defeated Dettlaff, but regis had to kill him, even at the end of the fight, d was half way restored before regis kills him. That plus, there are other monster/creature/gods geralt cannot kill either.
It can't really show it well, cause rpg and all that, but in the main game, geralt barely kills the crones/whatever the big guy in armour is as well.
Also, holy crap knuckles, but the best ending of blood and wine happens AFTER the quest finishes, and only if you did not romance triss or yen in the main game!! CIRI comes home!!!!!Never put off tomorrow what you can put off today!

I got the "best" B&W ending and I still think the WITCHER series ending was fairly unsatisfying actually :/
You don't get to see dandelion unless you get sent to prison. You don't get to see priscilla (who never got better??), or zoltan. I get they want to encourage replay but jesus who has time to replay 100hrs+? Imo they should have brought all the main characters back at the end considering they won't be going back to the witcher for years. Instead I have to watch the endings on Youtube because they somehow made them mutually exclusive BLEH. I'm salty.
