Not touching it until and if that is ever finished. It's basically the only reason I ever bought the thing to begin with.
I was lured in with the CR name since I was a huge wing commander fan back when I was a wee laddybuck.

It was planned for release in 2016 (2014?). The thing has been pushed back and back. They are most likely scrapping large portions of it as Croberts micro-manages the project and wants to put new features in it from other games.

Great news guys! SQ42 is "almost" done...
During February, a new animator was trained and worked through several increasingly complex scenes. They began with relatively simple finger polishing work before moving onto more involved mess-hall and tram scenes.
The wider team undertook a comprehensive review of chapters one and five before prototyping new animations to meet the latest direction.

Because why NOT add unnecessary technology features instead of finishing up the core game?A hobbiest foundry and forge in progress, plans, suppliers, showcasing ideas

I don't know why CR hasn't been investigated for fraud. There's no way a good development team with virtually unlimited funds couldn't finish this game within 6-7 years. What I've seen of it so far looks like something thrown together by Derek Smart. Where is all that money going?“The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.” – Abraham Lincoln

And about the legal investigation, well, i'm sure he made sure to get away with his bs from the start.
Still surprising none of the scammed gamers has tried it so far (that we know of)

it's all really down to the US legal system, from what I read throughout the years, the legal dispute that some people did literally shot down by trivialities like : "oh you sued the wrong company" or that "well you accepted the EULA" etcI guess it's the trend nowdays with games; either you are a hardcore PC GAME, or you live long enough to see yourself become a console port

The government isn't bound by an EULA. They can invalidate it for others too, or demand reparations for injured parties.A hobbiest foundry and forge in progress, plans, suppliers, showcasing ideas

Just got a SQ42 update email, with this at the top of the list
Specifically for Squadron 42 (Sq42), AI Content revamped the ‘sleep and bed relaxation’ activity started last year
“We knew early on that, to hit the fidelity we expect for Sq42, we would need to do some R&D on bedsheet deformation. This work is currently underway and, if successful, will allow the AI to deform their sheets when entering, exiting, or sleeping inside them. This is a challenging assignment and expands the complexity of the feature. For example, what happens to the sheets if the AI needs to exit the bed in an emergency?” AI Content

How much you want to bet that his end game is to sell tech to Meta and others. That the game was never the point, just a good pretext to get funding without any stock changing hands.A hobbiest foundry and forge in progress, plans, suppliers, showcasing ideas

I had the temerity to say Star Citizen wasn't really a game yet on the comments for Jackfrags' latest YouTube video, and got put in my rightful place. Not by apologists or croberts sycophants obviously.
Seriously, I get wanting something to succeed (hell, I do too) but rabid fanaticism is scaryHi
