Might as well upload a modern Windows 10 bluescreen or forced Windows Update restart during a team event / oil rig deployment and call it "This is what 25 years of development gives you".

I miss seing Dawn on my Eizo T965 21" CRT with ATi 9700 PRO. RIP.

I guess it's the trend nowdays with games; either you are a hardcore PC GAME, or you live long enough to see yourself become a console port

Joystick/equipment recommendation for either game? Not sure what to get, I'm still on key&mouse. Remember Saitek being ok, but that's probably 15 years ago? Heelp

The best one in it's class, better than any of the saitek ones of similar price.

So far Roberts has cashed in 160 MILLION and what he delivered so far is close to something people could do on their spare timy with Unity.
Does no one here understand how much money that is? Witcher 3's TOTAL budget, including marketing and the entire cost of development was HALF that.
not to mention that Elite Dangerous development budget to this very date with 3.0 is probably less than a quarter of that and the game have reached far more people (read : sold to and being enjoyed by) than this scam citizen

I wouldn't use Witcher 3. Game developers in Poland, which is where like 95% of their developers live, are paid between $14k (Entry level) to $25k (Senior) per year.
In the USA it is between $54K (Entry) to $127k (Senior)

I own Elite. I have tried playing Elite. I find the fundamentals of the ship handling boring, like driving a submarine in space.
I have easily spent at least 10 times the hours playing SC (mostly in Squadron Battle.) and the price of admission was substantially less than the $60 Elite charged me (not including what Elite charges for their DLC content.)

There is a steep learning curve to Elite. You have to modify the ships extensively and learn how to effectively handle each ship. My Cobra handles amazing as a well armored rare trader/hunter. However, they don't handle like Eve Valkyrie or Battlefront 2. Maybe i'm just old and boring though because I love my old submarine sims as well lol.

Maybe I am just crazy and want space ships to handle like spaceships. (BTW, haven't played Eve Valkyrie or Battlefront 2).
Within the limits of game balance and hardware/network limitations, I expect them to follow Newtonian physics. I do not expect them to behave like submarines.
*shrug* Turn flight assist off.. there if your pure Newtonian flight model; pretty much all the 'sluggishness' is the flight computer stopping you from becoming a vomiting spinning mess...
However, I suspect what you want is at most a soft Newtonian flight model with ships that have maaaaaaaagics to let them turn on a dime while maintaining stability.
But, whatever, I'm not here for an argument I was just intrigued as to what insanity you expected from a flight model
I'll go back to lurking/laughing at the Chris Roberts Defense Force again...

Turning off flight assist does not create what people are looking for, not even close.
They really should have either picked the flight model of Independence War 2 or something more akin to Wing Commander/Freespace/Privateer 2 model.

so you basically admit you only want CS:GO with spaceship skin, because that's what AC has always been, mouse+kb optimized first person shooter pretending to be spaceship oriented game; while ED is a proper spaceship game in the first place.
holy **** is there even any depth in scam shittyzen spaceship gameplay yet after all these years? have shittyzens even begin to customize their literal billion dollars spaceships yet? no?
whatever happened to ship modularity capability plan? still waiting for item system 2.0?
can I fill a request to delete this disgusting thread? make a new thread with someone else as TS.

My preferred controls are a T16000 joystick and CH Throttle and most of the beat dog fighters I know used either dual joysticks, or HOTAS, so I am not sure what you are talking about.
Space ship games don't have wonky flight physics where you have to slow down or speed up to turn.
ID War was probably the closest, though you can't have those kinds of uncapped relative speeds in an online game. Latency would make fighting impossible.
So the protective order has been denied because it was moot to begin with. Something that neither side realized apparently. CIG are not required to submit to Discovery till there is actually a Discovery ordered by the Judge, which has not happened yet. Judge Gee has to order Discovery for CIG to actually be compelled to do it, and Judge Gee has not ordered it as of yet.
I wonder why she has not ordered it? She only advised to start Discovery, but that isn't an order to do so, she made that advice on December 13, 2017 which is the next day after Crytek filed their lawsuit and before CIG even responded to the suit.

I mean it's basically a wake up from an explosion in slow motion and glitch into the bed simulator for me but I get a good 10 minutes out of it every patch.
