..and the point of that GIF is..?
Livecasts and whatnot; wery interesting move, non-corporate way of doing things which I really like. But some assets may be earlier done than others (models and textures for instance), which could be why we are seing lots of ships and little details as the engine is being worked on.
For me, interest shifted right over to Elite once I saw the trailer a few weeks ago. SC/S42 so so huge now, it's scaring me. I was about to make a purchase, but not when I'm seing delays like thisAt least Elite gave us some real ingame inflight videos

I feel stupidSeriously, I don't understand the GIF
I'd love to see the livecast, which video is it? I found the "Inside CIG: dogfighting update", but I can't find the live cast (yes, I feel stupid
).

As far as this game.. Ive never seen so many people suckered formicromacro transactions before a game even gets released. You would think people would hold off on supporting macro transactions because thats where the industry is heading... this just confirms there are enough suckers out there to make it standard.
Game companies are going to look at this and see its success and start doing it themselves. Expect the next star wars to have ships cut out.

We all want to see a Wing Commander 42, and if anyone can do it, this team can. Since all these guys made those great games in the first place.
Or they spent $23 million on whiskey and BBQ.

In regards to the gif...
Cyko replied to a post of mine by accusing me of being too lazy to watch the podcast (or some similar implication). My reply was that I didn't have time to watch the Live case because I am not an unemployed vagabond with too much time on my hands, thus intimating that perhaps Cyko is. "Oh Snap" is a colloquialism that a third party might say after witnessing such a witty retort.
BTW, my post to which Cyko originally replied was made before the livecast. So even if I had been an umployed vagabond, I would have also required a time machine to have already watched the livecast.Last edited by aviphysics; Dec 21, 2013, 03:42 PM.THG is to computer hardware what MTV is to music.

Very cool of you, thanks! There's those two hours + I was looking for!
Gonna fire this up on the projector in a few hours and enjoy the showGotta love a big huge projector image for things like this (E3, presentations, sports etc).
EDIT: That was surprisingly good, seeing the turret view again almost brought a tear to my eyes. For now, looks like a very modern Wing Commander for sure.Last edited by kboye; Dec 21, 2013, 05:29 PM.-

Wing Commander was certainly an influence on the serialized franchise narratives in Call of Duty, Mass Effect, et al

Does Batman actually earn money that can be talked about in terms of monthly vs weekly incomes?
I mean, Bruce is a Trust Funder, so income isn't even discussed, it would be beneath him, but Batman, he doesn't get paid for doing what he does. It's pro-bono work.
Then again, he can probably sell the loot from all of his kills, but again, this isn't steady work. This is like working contract jobs...sometimes you work, sometimes you eat ramen. So you aren't talking about weekly incomes, you are talking about job incomes, $xx,xxx for 6 months work.
Or something.

ok then, back on topic. is anyone actually impressed with this latest patch? the cutlass is ok but the firing range is a piss poor substitute for the DFM.Originally posted by OzzieblokeI mean, yeah, sure, there's benefits to a shaved asshole. I'm actually surprised they got the firing range in so soon, it was just a poll not very long ago. It'll improve over time. Remember how the guy used to run around in the first version of the hangar?
I only have a 300i, so I don't get to see any cool stuff that gets added, beyond the basics.

My main disappointment with the firing range update is that I don't have access to the weapons from my LN upgrade package.
There are also some bugs or just missing assets. Like hitting the wall generates a white square and the audio for the gun is really quiet.THG is to computer hardware what MTV is to music.
