Actually, that looks a lot like Crysis 2 to be honest. Also, Crysis 2 was dope since you were a bad ass on crack with an infection going ape **** on gays in the park. Nothing like it and can't wait for some more of that
Hope the PC version gets to wait 4 months again for a high res pack to come out.

Also, if you gays (damn it KAC!) didn't know, this is the last Crysis as we know it.

If you must listen to country [music], play it backwards. You get your woman back, the dog comes back to life, Momma pops out from under the train, and it stops raining. :)
From the get-go it was only supposed to be a trillogy. This is the third and final installment.
I am curious what other project Crytek is working on. Wht comes after Crysis? Will they become merely a engine company? Very interested not just in Crysis 3, but what will follow after it.

If the series makes money it will go forward. See Halo, etc.

“I wouldn’t name it Crysis 4 at this stage because it would be misleading,” he said. “We want to finalize Prophet’s story, and Crysis 4 would imply the story just moves on. But we are excited about the DNA of Crysis and of the franchise. There can be literally tons of titles out there within the franchise. Unlike Far Cry, this time around we feel very flexible about Crysis.”

My guess is the franchise will branch out to different SKU (like mobile, f2p, and so on).

Thanks. I hope that means there can be a F2P and a new trilogy as well.
Hopefully, but the writing is on the wall for AAA titles. Only the biggest will survive the current model, according to speculations.

EA is inherently stupid, if I were EA I would force crytek, dice and bioware to work together and create something awesome.
Videogame companies don't work like that. That would be suicide. You need a leader and a follower if you ever attempt to make a joint effort game. Crytek, Dice and Bioware are all leaders, they wouldn't play well with each other.

well i bet they will barely listen to feedback on the c3 alpha. Imo they need to do a lot of changes in a few months and the reality of betas is that just never happens. Expect the mp to be forgotten 2 months after release.
F2P is not something I want to see more of in the industry, despite Tribes Ascend doing it fairly well. Things change for the worst in this industry
"Crysis 3 on PC is going to be a benchmark experience for at least two years. When I see what’s happening on the PC market, and even what we do. The PC market is not going to grow vastly more before a lot of games catch up. We had the same thing with the first Crysis on PC. When Crysis launched, it was the high-end benchmark for a good three years. I think Crysis 3 is going to do that again."

We are still waiting for Crysis 1 to look like Crysis 1.
So from what I gather, Crysis 3 will then be an unoptimized peice of ****, how's that different from Crysis 1 and 2?

I don't think Crysis 2 was a corridor shooter unless you and I played a different game. It had multiple options to attack the same objective. Doesn't mean it was a corridor shooter. As for a console port, I don't know, there is no such thing as a PC only shooter nowadays (at least not one that I remember) so by this definition everything is a console port (which is not true). For example, Sleeping Dogs was developed for PC. Farcry 3 has sufficient options to qualify as a PC game. And heck even COD BLOPS 2 has enough options to make it look as good and play as good as it can on PC.

None of those are PC games. ArmA2 (& upcoming 3) are PC games.
Crysis 1 was mind-blowing when I first played it. I think I had 2 8800GTS 640MB in SLI when it came out. To be honest, I'm looking forward to Metro 2033: Last Light more than I am Crysis 3.

I vividly recall playing Crysis 1. I had just purchased my present PSU, and two 640MB 8800GTS on launch day in anticipation of this game. Dropped over $1100 on the GPUs and about $200 for the PSU back then. Was also sporting an Opteron 185 at I believe 3.2GHz with the ASUS A8N32 SLi DLx mobo and 4GB of G.Skill RAM. Was such a fun game, and I was blown away by the visuals at the time.
I think I'm equally anticipating both games. Sadly I'm just not in a spot right now to purchase any game pre-release or for the launch price. Got far more importanting things to put my money towards, and $60 in the savings adds up. Look forward to playing them though.
