also I can see lens flare / lens sneeze effect being complained about. Hopefully they allow us to turn it off.

I thought the lens 'sneeze' was great in BF3 and added to the look. I'm sure there will be a conf.ini or something for the haters to remove all the niceness and run it in vector graphics mode only so it runs at a gazillion FPS on their FPS counter software.

Looks exactly the same in the real game.

The sounds in crysis2/3 really bother me though. I do not like them at all. The gun shooting etc - something with the echo. Its VERY annoying to listen to for me (compared to say - BF3).

Hmmm I wonder if they mean what I think they mean when they say "pixel perfect" displacement. Have they actually achieved the displacement quality (or close to) seen in pre-rendered CG?

I did this with Crysis and Crysis 2. I'll do the same with this one.

My first play through was with both the DX11 and Hi-Def texture packs, and all updates. Game looked very good, and was enjoyable. Plan on waiting for a bit on this one, maybe grab it during a sale.

Yeah, the perpetually in development engine by the studio that got bought by Intel and then canned. Unfortunately, that engine only lives on in the form of whatever bits and pieces of code are still lingering in FireFall.

Yeah, it was such a shame offset got canned. It looked freaking amazing at the time, it still does stand pretty damn well compared to today's games. I really do blame consoles in that regard.

The next generation of consoles are going to be the equivalent of a teen not fapping for decades.

I loved Crysis 2 multiplayer, I loved Crysis 2. However, I probably wont get Crysis 3 just because Crytek never, ever supports their games post-release.

Sorry but I won't get invested again on a hacked-to-hell-and-back multiplayer again.

They say it looks practically the same as crysis 2 (no surprise, it must run ok in same old consoles), but it needs several times more gpu power to get same frame rates I wonder how much money crytek got to help drive sales of new cards in 2013

I've always thought that too with these gameplay videos, but I think they do it on purpose to make the game look more challenging.
