a question, can you play crysis 3 in the latest free cry engine 3 sdk without installing the crysis 3 itself (just load the map and all the necessary files)?

Seems stupid to me. Not fun at all, how are you meant to snipe from a distance with a stealth weapon if u have no idea where u firing. If your cloaked you can't see ****.

Also waiting for the inevitable maximum 2 weapons limit. Most stupid ****ing **** in games ever.

I remembered things incorrectly, the crosshair is actually on the bow.

And crysis 3 has a 4 weapon limit.

Well, maybe it would be more accurate to call it a 3 weapon limit since you cannot replace the bow.

2 weapon limit in games was introduced in a game that had nothing to do with realism. It was called Halo.

Crysis 3 has 4 weapons at any point in time. Also the crosshair is easy to see when cloaked as posted above.

The original Prophet killed himself due to the infection overcoming his body resulting in the possibility that suit will be controlled by the Ceph (aliens). He gave the suit to a new guy whose name is some Barnes (I forget his actual name in Crysis 2/3). Once in the suit, he is recognized as prophet since his DNA bonds with the nanites and starts enhancing his body due to recombinant DNA in suit.

Everything was quite well explained in both games and there is a lot of lore worth reading to understand more. I can, however, recognize why some people may find the story not making much sense if they did not enjoy Crysis 2 and/or paid much attention in that game. In this game, it is actually simplified to a large amount compared to Crysis 2.

So why does his voice change into Prophet's voice? Or am I to assume that because Alcatraz didn't talk in 2 that he just happened to have the same voice as Prophet did?

If Nomad and Prophet had switched suits in the first game would Prophet have become Nomand and Nomad Prophet?

Also, is Alcatraz essentially dead then? Because that's kind of ****ed up. Prophet's kind of a jerk giving his suit away to consume people thinking they are going to get badass powers.

If they can't take the suit off, how do they go to the bathroom?

Prophet killed himself because his body could no longer take the influence from Ceph. He also says sorry to Alcatraz prior to giving him the suit because he knew that the suit will augment Alcatraz's DNA and ultimately alter him into the Prophet. By the mid to end of the game, Alcatraz was being referred to as the Prophet in Crysis 2 as well

Crysis 3 You play as a suit carrying Alcatraz's body who thinks he's Prophet
This is explained in the ending cutscene, the suit's powers have completely altered DNA of Alcatraz so much so that Alcatraz technically no longer exists. Towards the end, the suit becomes fully integrated with the human body of Prophet simply because a lot of Alien energy has been passing through the suit with Nanites adopting to the environment and continuing to TAKE OVER human body. This is referred multiple times as the sacrifice

DNA altered. Voice will change.

They didn't need to since in first game there were metric tons of suits. Even the Koreans had suits and they were dying. Prophet emerged since he had direct contact with the final boss in Crysis 1 together with Nomad who later is poorly explained to have passed away in the global war that transpired post Crysis 1 events

Prophet gave his suit away since he had visions of the future and Alpha Ceph continued to communicate to him through the suit. Was the story in both Crysis 2 and continues in 3. A bit abrupt imo coming from Crysis 1 though.

Alcatraz had no personality to beging with, the suit had more character in Crysis 2 so no big loss there

They should've continued with Nomad and not have pandered to the consolites by starting with a new character to get them introduced to the world of Crysis.

CDKeysDiscount still refuses to budge from when they raised the price to $44 even though most domestic sites and stores are selling it for $40.
You would think they could hire a capable web designer that could update the graphic that says it is $38.

Oh your at the end bro, same thing happened to me, the only thing left is a non-interactive cut scene you can watch on Youtube. Game is way short but I guess if you play it with no crosshair it becomes much harder and takes 9 hours to complete instead of the 4-6 hours it takes on anything less than that difficulty. Good game, short game. hopefully they will add some decently priced SP DLC to make this a bit longer for when i decide to replay it. Just remember the next time you eat a cheeseburger you ate 1/5th of crysis 3, thats how we judge game length now. :P

Just started playing this game. Very high is a no no for HD 7850. I don't know which one to upgrade first, CPU or GPU. From what I read around AMD FX runs great with this game.

But the inclusion of bow in this game really makes it worthwhile to play, if you like stealth gameplay that is. I'm playing this game very slowly, collecting and reading intelligence as I go.

yeah its a weird problem quite a few people have it, still it's not like you miss much just a in game cinematic you can easily youtube. It's what I had to do, didn't feel it was worth getting upset over. If there was actual gameplay I missed, I probably would have got butt hurt over it, but it wasn't so wooopty dee dooo.
