Started really playing it today. So far so good. Hate the consoled check point bullshit. Performance is good on my tri 670s @ 1600p. Do notice I am hitting at 194x vram usage according to afterburner. I was running an older driver then I updated the the latest nv driver for crysis 3 ( huge difference). Game play wise somehow seems a tad tougher than 2? Graphics = very nice. Kind of reminds me of the days when I tried to play Crysis on 8800GTX sli with max settings @ 1600p but now looks even better and not getting 5fps lol.Under construction

So far I really like the feedback on this one. Not enough, however, to drop $60 on it. I'll wait for an amazing sale on Steam or Origin before snagging it. Should give me more time to catch up on my backlog.Originally posted by Akumajoa prime time magnifying glass of clusterfark shatstorm brewery.Originally posted by wabbitslayercongratulations on the anniversary of your emancipation from the Great Uterine Squeeze.Originally posted by swinglineThere are two types of people in the world: those that are humble and those that will be.

Btw the review **********s that were saying the game is 5 hours were downright lying. I have about 5 hours reported in origin whereas, the game timer says about 3 hours 45 minutes since it resets everytime you re-spawn after dying
The game is easily about 7-8 hours when playing on harder difficulties. I am playing on one less than hardest available option and it is a blast to play through

On my crossfire setup 6970 game runs decent on high settings SMAA1x i am hitting 60fps most of the time there are some fps drops and my gpu load is a little strange GPU2 Works 99% GPU1 works 70-75%. I think there is much room for improvements there. Oh and game feels lagy like crysis 2 multiplayer so i enabled DFC and vsynic and it works nice much more responsive and smooth except for that fps drops. Nice game
I hated Crysis 2 SP it sucked ass Crysis 3 is better for me crysis 1 is still the winner.

Oh and i am reading about the graphics graphics are good indeed difference between Very high seetings and low settings if we leave the texture to very high is not that much so i think for few dx11 effects on vh settings it is not worth the performance droop. I played 2 first missions in sp and game is very linear like crysis 2 i expected more freedom.

Yup... so i ended up buying it through Origin, still a bit pricier but because those [email protected] raised the price so i was a bit pissed and just sent my monies to EA
Game is pretty intense, graphics are truly wonderful and the gameplay is pretty sweet. Still tinkering around with the settings, but with my specs im able to run it at everything set to Very High, except shading/shadows which is set for medium, and the FPS is pretty stable. Sometimes it dips down a bit but its not earth shattering where i cannot play, its just not as smooth. If i drop my res down to 19x12 its smooth but this game is just so damn sexy at such high res... like holy [email protected]!! Tried MP for a bit, its a bit of meh... just seems like a lot of run and gun tho i still need more practice and time to get used to it.
I havent played much yet, but i still wished the playable world was as large or vast as what C1 was... still feels somewhat linear but with a bit more leeway.

Just finished it, and I was taking my time so it is fairly short. Overall not too bad, some bugs though like a bridge that raises and then raises again as you walk towards it and the switch to lower it was out of the way so I spent a while trying to find out how to lower it. Just seems a bit unpolished in places. Had some AIs that fell through the world like on the dam for example.I do work for AMD

Yah, 2.5D.
Graphics in this game are simply amazing tbh, with real AA instead of the post process filters it looks very sharp and clean. Geat effects and animations too, although I encountered a couple jittery AI bugs here and there.
Map design is excellent, sure its a little linear but there's enough room to take alternate paths and stuff, but imo there is some quality level design and mapping skills in this game.CROSSHAIR X670E HERO / R9 7950X3D / RTX 4090 GAMING OC / TRIDENT Z5 NEO RGB 6000 CL30 / SAMSUNG 980pro 1TB / 2x SAMSUNG 980 1TB / H150i ELITE LCD / ATH-A2000Z / HX1200 / AW3821DW 38" / LG C2 OLED evo 55" / Enthoo 719 / K70 MKII + Zowie S2 / K57 + Harpoon / Xbox Series X Controller / REVERB G2 V2

Maps are amazing. I loved being able to take a vantage point, scout around, then bitch slap aliens with bow and/or duck in water, observe paths of aliens and take 'em out. The visor is a bit OP because line of sight is not required but in harder difficulty it is actually a fantastic game and a great challenge. AI takes 3-5 shots to bone my ass.

Would love to see a more covential online military shooter on this engine. Infact I wouldn't mind making a few maps for this game as it is, have they released SDK tools?CROSSHAIR X670E HERO / R9 7950X3D / RTX 4090 GAMING OC / TRIDENT Z5 NEO RGB 6000 CL30 / SAMSUNG 980pro 1TB / 2x SAMSUNG 980 1TB / H150i ELITE LCD / ATH-A2000Z / HX1200 / AW3821DW 38" / LG C2 OLED evo 55" / Enthoo 719 / K70 MKII + Zowie S2 / K57 + Harpoon / Xbox Series X Controller / REVERB G2 V2

I seriously dislike their 3D implementation. Not that it matters considering it rapes my FPS, but still.
So I've restarted it on Post Human Warrior. It's enjoyable because it forces me to play stealth, and really pay attention. It's not enjoyable because it kinda defeats the point of you being the supreme fighting machine, wearing a kick ass suit with all sorts of superhuman abilities.
Graphics overall...best looking game ever, imo. It's also really shocking how good it looks on lower graphical presets, on medium it's still better than nearly everything out there, especially when tweaked with the CVAR editor in order to get rid of crap like chromatic aberration and sharpening.
Concerning optimizations...I still think it could run better, there are areas where the FPS drops for no reason, others where the GPU utilization goes below 50%, and I hope some patches will fix some of that stuff.

I hope they release an expansion/sequal to this like warhead too.

Did you watch it? He has some tool that helps with CPU limited games, I wanna try it in a few games actually. I tried the tool out and not a single fps difference, I even dropped to 720p and no AA and still no change.
Thing is though, I'm getting around the same frame rate as him at 1440p max settings with 4xAA in the first place (before he changed his tool), something isnt right on his system to have to run low-med settings like at 1080p.CROSSHAIR X670E HERO / R9 7950X3D / RTX 4090 GAMING OC / TRIDENT Z5 NEO RGB 6000 CL30 / SAMSUNG 980pro 1TB / 2x SAMSUNG 980 1TB / H150i ELITE LCD / ATH-A2000Z / HX1200 / AW3821DW 38" / LG C2 OLED evo 55" / Enthoo 719 / K70 MKII + Zowie S2 / K57 + Harpoon / Xbox Series X Controller / REVERB G2 V2

Looked at his gallery at the 120hz forum, I think he has a 100hz+ catleap monitor, so he should be using 1440p.
