Bah, cant decide if i want to get this... i loved the first crysis but hated the 2nd, how or where does this one fall? I guess the biggest thing i hated about the 2nd, didnt actually buy it so time was limited, was that it felt way too consolish and the world, or the lack of, felt to linear. Is C3's world as vast as the first one or at least much better than C2?

I'd prefer to buy a key from a seller that uses Paypal (like play-sc), rather than entering Credit Card info etc.
Crysis 3 was completely off my radar, but it looks incredible and I absolutely loved Crysis 2, so now I have to have it!

I'm really enjoying the vegetation/long grass (although it seems a bit odd, like the grass is running at 30 fps while everything else above 60)."In the year 2004, ATi fans marveled in their own magnificence as ATi gave birth to catalyst A.I . Well at least it wasn't a 5 hour game for me. Took about 8 hours on Veteran, did most or all side missions, played 80% in cloak sneaking about. Second last level is quite large which is nice, most levels aren't huge though. Couple of fairly linear sections. Story ended better than I expected. End cut scene was a nice nod to the original although I think having it "playable" would have been amazing.
Quality was up and down for me, AI bugs, level glitches, dialogue and even weapons were mixed. Some aspects of the visor I like, like info of enemies or tagging fired arrows. Didn't really like being spotted before my visor saw anything. Stalker and flamer enemies are neat additions. Wasn't a big fan of enemies spawning well within visor range after certain triggers. The side missions were usually pretty thin, just go somewhere off the direct path and collect item.
I think there is a lot of influence from call of duty in crysis 3, some subtle and some overt. There is also some influence from HL2 in a few sequences. I'm not sold on the weapons in C3 nor do I think the weapon balance is great (sp). Lot of insane recoil on weapons, the javelin is quite frankly annoying to use - you fire and the kickback prevents you from aiming the laser for a few seconds after launch. I never really felt in control of my arsenal. Bow makes stealth kinda trivial.
I will probably play through the game again on various difficulties, I'm really having a hard time judging this one. My gut says its inferior to 1 and 2 but technically it does things better than 2. It's the best looking pc game out right now, so at least they go that part right.

Just made the mistake of buying this, can't even install the bloody thing, apparently origin needs an update, which would be ok if it would bloody download, maxing out at 7kbps (lovely dial up speed) and then just giving up and quitting, and saying i'm offline, great work EA. And before you say its my connection, although its not superfast I got here, I can stream video, and can surf and download other things, just not the update. Next time I'm just downloading it, saves a lot of problems.

Ok anyone who dosen't like or appreciate the Crysis series are just plain nuts...stupid.No offense to anyone here, so don't start throwing things at me!
Crysis - gameplay was good, not great. Graphics were awesome.
Crysis Warhead - gameplay was ok, but I felt like I was playng Crysis again, but just with smoother performance.. Graphics were again awesome.
Crysis 2 - gameplay was awesome. Graphics were awesome. The best of the series so far....
Crysis 3 - fantastic game play. Graphics are the best I've ever seen in a game. This one several steps above Crysis 2, and IS now the best by far in the series.
I play SP only. I cannot stand the multiplayer experience. Deathmatch against a bunch of online nerds....please.Again guys don't start throwing stuff at me!!
Just my honest opinion.

Still tweaking though because movement so far is screwing with my headSometimes it feels like I'm watching a "live" version of a TV show the way the camera moves and stuff like I'm processing things faster than "realtime"
I don't really know how to explain it otherwise maybe the game is too realistic

I have a GTX680, 16GB RAM, 4.5Ghz 3770K, and Crysis 3 does look very nice, all maxed out with a 30fps lock (better that than between 30-60 all the time)
Only using FXAA, never really used AA much anyway..... Still, Skyrim maxed out looks and runs better with all my mods and ENB tweaks, seems like a performance hole with this title....."I love her muffins more than life itself" Dexter's Laboratory

I am liking the game also, very nice graphics and runs OKish in Crossfire. Trifire has negative scaling in the title so I have reported that to AMD.
I am taking my time with it so only done a few levels so far. The AI is a bit retarded in places but acceptable (better than the ACM AI for sure) It is too easy though if you use stealth and get the stealth upgrades.
I've never played multi-player in any of the Crysis games so can't comment on that.I do work for AMD

Haven't seen this posted before. It seems like the performance problems in the first level are caused by the moving ropes
