i know it cant be compared. a game you cant even play smoothly at 1080p maxed on your 800+$ worth of gpus is being soundly outclassed by a game running a gpu with maybe 25% of the capability

yah, i never noticed it until by accident today. was reading about dead space 3 bugs in ea forums and somebody was ranting how EA won't let him finish crysis trilogy without a dx11 gpu.

I never even assumed it since it was multiplatform, but then i looked it up and sure enough, dx 11 gpu minimum specs...

Well played a bit more and the game is full of dope. The graphics are truly the best I have seen. I get some hitching in the first level but overall am doing around 50-70 fps vsynced with Very High and some AA thrown in. Thus far, a great experience and downright gorgeous graphically. The gameplay is also true crysis with me being the badass. Playing on 1 level lower than hardest difficulty. Totally worth the price of admission and reason for having an SLI setup.

So my brother pre-ordered back in October from Origin for this game. He got to pre-download the game, and then played for a little bit on the day of release. Several hours later he gets an email saying that his credit card was declined. He check his info, checked the balance just in case, and everything was correct and more then enough on his credit card to pay for it. Today he got back on to Origin to buy the game, but it wouldn't let him cause it said he already has the game, which he did see on Origin. He contacted EA Web help, they tried a few things, and in the end the customer service agent basically said:

Congrats, you got a free game. The customer service agent did say there was an issue with the charging on some pre-orders.

So yeah, my brother got Crysis 3 for free because of an EA glitch

they don't, they have feature levels equivalents but this next round will be more obvious that dx11.1 is the base, but with cool extensions. like AMD's texture decompression, specific opcodes supported etc.

Running the game on medium, got some treakle moments mainly inside where you move normally then it slows to wading through treakle then back again...

Looks nice, will keep playing and see if the fun kicks in later.

The AI is fantastic, takes about 3-5 shots to kill me on one less than hardest difficulty. I have no crosshairs, which is awesome. The game is absolute blast to play through. There are sufficient open areas as well to approach the same situation. Also you can completely ignore gays and just run to the objective as well. The game is phenomenal. I am enjoying each scenery, voice acting, sounds, and being a general bad ass. Ripping off mounted guns never gets old and mowing down cell is great fun.

I give it a solid 9/10 thus far.

The AI is retarded, I've been playing on Post Human and I've seen many instances where they are just running into walls or doing stupid ****. Getting decent performance now now though, installed the Titan Driver released yesterday and running on very high at 2560x1600 SMAA MGPU 2x, constant 60FPS with vsync smooth ( in game vsync disabled ), only dips in the cut scenes to 20FPS, sometimes it drops to 50FPS for unknown reason.

Played in 3D. Jizzed shorts. Fantastic performance (about 45-60 fps) and just downright gorgeous in 3D. Loving it..

AI is working fine here. Don't know what AI glitches you are seeing. I haven't had AI run into walls..

I bump everything to very high and just wander around and
When I reach a pack of enemies I pop it back to medium, deal with them, then back to very high.

I certainly agree that C3 is a great looking game, I was kinda of just looking at the ground in one of the darker swampy area bits. Kinda impressive the detail they put there with objects and plants and textures.

Haven't really had AI run into walls (doing looping animation like C2) but there are problems with the AI.

I haven't tried forcing any thing but in game I am just using fxaa+3d because I think the fxaa has less shimmering then the smaa or up to 4x msaa options I tried and the MS had a bit of a performance hit already at 4x.

Anyone have luck editing the nanosuit.xml file for single player? The method from Crysis 2 does not appear to work. I'm able to decrypt and extract the pak files but no luck getting any kind of results to file edits.
