The funny thing is that it was not cryteks fault, it was nvidia who messed up with their profile, as usual.
They did not have the beta executable attached to the crysis 3 profile.
I didn't change any thing in my profile and was getting 95-97% load on both cards evenly and the game ran great. Maybe it was the original beta release not the ones released yesterday?
Running good or not though it looked like crap and had some odd graphical glitches on some parts of the maps.
Well, I fixed the SLi issue and game is running butter smooth now. Only using FXAA because it is still quite a heavy game even with SLi. Also fixed the mouse issue by going to controls and increasing mouse sensitivity to 35 instead of default 25. Mouse is much better now and frames are stable.
Overall, I like the crash site mode since it is very similar to Hardpoint in BLOPS2 which I simply love. The mayhem is there and even with wonky movement controls, game is enjoyable. Do I see myself playing it on release. Maybe, the MP can have a potential life of 1 month or so for levelling up. The levelling up is fast but rewards in first 10 levels have been absolute crap. All said and done, it is trying to immitate BLOPS2 and succeeds partially.
I also don't understand why it shows 82 meters and I have to cover immense amount of distance to get to a location? Are they using m as a representation of some other unit of measure? This actually gives me an even poor impression of scale of the map.
Net net, good try Crytek and as always it is the SP campaign that maybe worth purchasing the game for. Thus far, fingers crossed. What I saw in MP is definitely much better than Crysis 2 MP but still falls short of current games out.
I remember folks bad mouthing Crysis 2, so I waited until dirt cheap, when I played it it was the best game I played last year. Now I wonder if I need to CF or just wait until a few patches and drivers are out and then maybe for it to become dirt cheap

Good to see that Crysis 3 is Gaming Evolved title as well as TWIMTP.
A quote from a AMD rep in OCN :
Everyone must also keep in mind that Crytek decided to join AMD Gaming Evolved relatively late in the Crysis 3 development process. We've had developers on-site with Crytek around the clock since that point, and we're working together to squeeze every last drop out of Radeon architectures on this title. For example, GCN is one of the reasons Crytek made the switch. It's important to us and them that everything is hunky dory but, compared to other titles at this point in their development cycle, we've all had less time to do that work. So we're doing a little catchup this week and next, applying that spit polish, and making damn sure everything is smooth for launch.
EDIT : By the way, doesn't AMD/ATi guys post here at Rage3D forums anymore ? I ask because I remember Catalyst Maker (Terry Makedon?) posting in this forum when I was using 9700 Pro, 9800 Pro and X800XT PE... yeah.. long time ago. hehe

I tried the Beta and it is pretty much Crysis 2.5 if anything else. Yes I do play my BFs and CoDs and buy them at every release but atleast I find those two more rewarding in terms of MP compared to this. Crysis 3 is going to be a bargain bin purchase for me.

as i stated in another thread that tech demo isnt real time. hell most of those assets arent even the actual low quality ones used in the game, they are higher quality ones used specifically to mislead us.
"you son of a ***** do u think you can elude us forever carlos"
Played for about 30 mins today. I find it funny this is called Crysis 3. I'd rather call it Crysis 2.5
As for the mouse lag, I didn't notice any but I felt the movement is quite floaty. Performance was good. Very High is the highest option available but I hope there will be "Ultra" in video option to take the visual further in full version of the game.
The mp beta does run pretty well I got to say and looks really nice but not noticing a huge difference between crysis 2. Hunter mode is pretty fun and different and like the predator movies lol.
However as with crysis 2 I will probably end up moving quickly on from mp to another game. With so many people using wallhacks in fps games it just makes it even worse in this game. Your in stealth mode, so no armor protection and then you got a guy invisible coming at you but who can clearly see you by wallhacking that it just makes the mp so frustrating.

I very much doubt I'll be playing this in mp for long. Lost interest in the mp beta after an two hours, one of those was messing with the graphics settings.
Well the code worked fine and got Crysis and BioShock Infinite for 65 bucks so can't complain. Also if you want I can get you the same deal for 65 smacks. Payment through paypal and codes you will receive in a while since currently, AMD is not shipping the codes for games. You register and get an email saying code will be delivered to you around release time.
