Just finished Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019). I actually enjoyed the single player more than I thought I would. Nice bonus for a game I got free with my old 1070ti.

Still playing Metro Exodus and I feel bad for paying £3.99 for it. Really enjoying the game, so much so that it has redefined how I feel about stealth games. I found myself either avoiding people or knocking them out rather than straight out murdering them.....mutants and creatures on the other hand, I burned with fire.
Game is very absorbing
Also trying Ashen, Crysis Remastered, Blasphemous and Borderlands 3."One moment please"

Played/finished one run of Detroit: Become Human over the weekend.
Looks fantastic, good story, and I can see how the plot can play out other ways if you do some other things. For example, I deliberately let the girls get away. How would things have changed if I didn't? Looking forward to finding out if I revisit it in a month.A hobbiest foundry and forge in progress, plans, suppliers, showcasing ideas

Just finished Metro Exodus. Game was exceptionally enjoyable - I may purchase the DLC - but the ending leaves a lot to be desired. I was like "wait, what.....is that it, a fecking quicktime event as a last boss.....really....after all that awesomeness you deny me a chance to murder something....sheeeesh""One moment please"

Finally beat Heretic.
I think Doom was a little more fun to play. Heretic uses the Doom engine, so it feels pretty close. I think the weapon selection wasn't quite as satisfying and the enemies were more annoying to deal with. I think it was a harder game. One thing it added to the Doom formula was an inventory with items that could give you a power boost. So, while the game was harder as a pure shooter, it was balanced by letting you use powerups.
But, I basically played it like I do with RPGs. Collect everything, but keep saving the items until some later time when I'll really need it. Which always ends up with me having a full inventory and never end up using the items.
Now I've moved to Hexen on my classic FPS binge.
I've also been playing through Ghost 1.0. A decent Metroidvania. The graphics aren't impressive. But the game is fun enough, and it allows for a fairly casual game. Only a few spots in the game are difficult and it's a fairly short game. Although, with so many Metroidvanias out there now, this game doesn't stand out. The game also has a stupid number of achievements, and it seems like I'd have to play through it multiple times to get them all, and I'm not up for that.

Just finished Resident Evil 7. I enjoyed the experience of this game though I feel a tiny bit bad for getting it for £3 during a MS store sale.
The demo they released for it put me off way back but I am glad I took the plunge with this one.
Still gonna wait till they sort out that DRM jiggery pokery on Village though. Things like that are the reason I do not buy games on release anymore."One moment please"

I started playing Northgard, the Viking RTS that looks a little like Age of Mythology. It plays very differently though, with a focus on base management and survivalesque features, rather than building an army. In fact, a handful of units is more than you really need for the first two missions.
It's slower than I thought it'd be, but I've always been interested in the game for its style. Gonna be a time sink, this one!May the Yods be silent

Finished the Castlevania: Anniversary Collection.
It was fun to revisit some of the old titles. The NES ones in particular for me.
Unfortunately, the two games from the Gameboy weren't very good. The Castlevania Adventure was particularly bad.
The one from the Sega Genesis (Bloodlines) and the one from Super Nintendo (IV) were still fun, but don't manage to capture the same nostalgia for me.
And throwing in Kid Vampire felt cheap, especially since they left off one of the best classic games from the Super Nintendo (Dracula X/Rondo of Blood).
The Steam achievements for this game is simply just beating every game. The two games that have multiple characters require beating it with the different charcters.
Annoyingly, the last achievement is just beating every game. But the achievement is bugged and doesn't always trigger, and doesn't indicate which game didn't count. So I had to beat them all twice just to be a stupid completionist.

Finished Mechwarrior 5. Had a good long campaign, though admittedly there wasn't a whole lot of substance to it as most of it was grinding, but it was a fun grind. The constant trickle of encountering and salvaging new mechs was quite enjoyable. Only down side is you don't get some of the biggest mechs until very near the end so you don't get to enjoy them for long.
Working on Battletech right now, and that one is even more fun."Ok to lose to opponent, must not lose to fear!"
