Just restarted Crysis 1 for fun... added the AF mod, not sure if my rig would like more graphic mods

I've overlooked it for a while as I'm not really into shooters anymore but I've heard nothing but good things about it.
Keep in mind it's not really a first person shooter. Think Deus Ex, System Shock, Dishonored when it comes to moment-to-moment gameplay: immersive sims.

Oh that sounds right down my street then, thanks for the info.
Edit
I loved dishonored 1 and 2, I own death to the outsider but I haven't touched it yet.

I suppose I'll blast through it out of love for the decent firefights, but the moment the credits roll, I'll hope to have forgotten all about the game.
Done and forgotten.
The firefights got tighter in the second half, which is of course what FEAR is all about, but everything else was as mundane as can be. The horror bits didn't mean a thing without a story line to support them.
Started The Last of Us Remastered on PS4. I'm not sure I'll dive in and finish as quickly as possible, so to speak, but I wanted to see how the game looks. You can tell the base game is a bit outdated, but it was already really good looking on PS3, so the higher resolution and 60fps are really all that's needed to make it a much more enjoyable experience in my opinion.
Most importantly, the game is still so ****ing good. I just played through the first 20 minutes or so and it just hits a home run around every corner. Truly one of the best cinematic games I've ever played.

I know its a good game, but sadly for me the "cinematic" aspects of the gameplay are what makes it uninteresting to me. I have the same issues with the Uncharted games as well. They are great, polished, high production games but the gameplay is just dull and repetitive IMO. I really wish I could like these games but I just get drowsy playing them.
Even with Last of Us, which takes place in my home city I just cannot find much about it that interesting. Think I got about 10 hours in and just shelved it.
I also installed FEAR: Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate.
Am I the only one who enjoyed FEAR 2 & FEAR 3? I enjoyed how both these titles continued the plot from F1, and the points/battle mechanic from F3 was very engaging.
I enjoyed fear 2, dispite hating it's release. I thought the story continued well, and the combat was still goode. Didn't enjoy fear 3 in the slightest. It seemed like trash perseus mandate all over again.
Never put off tomorrow what you can put off today!

+1, FEAR 2 is good and feels like a direct sequel to the original game, despite it happening at the same time as the original from the perspective of other character. Can't play FEAR3 more than few minutes, it don't feel like FEAR at all. Can't even watch the walkthrough on YT either.

Finished Shadow of the Tomb Raider today. Pretty good stuff. Really liked the fact that is was more focused on exploration than combat (until the very end). Recommended.

This statement confuses me. You play the same character in fear 2 that you did in fear... it IS a direct sequel.

That's too bad. Sixteen hours spent playing TLOU:R, and again it's been a fine, fine experience from start to finish. I love the characters, the settings, the technology, the story... Can't wait until two or three years from now, when I could well find myself playing through it again.

Should also mention I have only played Last of Us and the Uncharted games on PS3, at the lower fps. It could be a factor in my not liking the games, as at times I can feel the gameplay get sluggish from the low fps. I'll revisit them again someday on the remastered versions.
Played Battlefield V single player. Got to a point where a cutscene took over and the screen faded to black.
A minute later it was still black and no keystrokes did anything...except alt-F4.
Played Rebel Galaxy *first one* and did a couple missions.
Couldn't find a save option and just exited to title screen.
Found out later you have to dock at a space station *and* exit it to save.
Binge played through more than 10 missions of Sunset. I think there are 9-10 main missions left. Didn’t do a single side mission yet. Game is really fun. I can’t believe I never finished it thus far.
Having your character dressed in a tiny bikini whilst grinding rails and jumping on cars barefoot is exactly how I want all of my games from here on out.
Playing bf1 at times...... Messing people upppppp lol. Still 30th in the world on PC with the m1903 marksman. Funny how a lot of us good players all know each other.

Sittal on BF2142 "wtf. seriously. this has got to be the worst game i have EVER played. far worse than left behind."
Logical "u dont have to lie to us that u got fired again we dont judge here that your 🌯 weren't up to snuff."
Ugh... My progress in anything is grinding to a halt. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is going to take a million hours to finish, Civ 5 would take a million hours, Assetto Corsa Competizione would eat a million hours, and I am stuck wondering which game I'm going to spend those million hours on. In the meantime, I stick with 5 minute matches of Rocket League, which I've already put a million hours into.
Played some Need For Speed Underground, I'm still using my first car MX-5, already gotten the first 3 level 3 upgrades. This game becoming fast, don't remember things are this hard before. Well I was 16 when this game was out, and now I'm 32

Fifty hours into Divinity: Original Sin 2, and I'm only getting the feeling I've just dipped my toe in the magical waters. It's not the type of game I would usually play, and I can't say I'm in love with it, but it's alright. I would like to see it through, experience the whole story, but the pace isn't very fast and some things (like a big battle) can easily take a long time.
