Well if the left coast is that lame, I'll gladly stay on the east coast. This game is so corny I am wondering if it is like a parody on another level. than again...lol even this chick from that article you posted is like an ad for edgelord/hipster monthly

Finished Prey. Really turned out better than I expected! Loved it more than Dishonored 2 (which was great too). I guess the thing I liked about it more is that it perfectly mashes SS with DX.
Decided to hop back onto MEA! So performance hitching and crappy frametime not fixed and it won't be fixed since we are in June now... Though animations and facial textures look better (just not overly broken anymore). Glad they added the tab shortcut for the planet exploration part! Lots of time saving there! Only real credit I can give the game is the shooting and on foot exploration and questing. Though nothing impressive, is a few inches better than the other stuff.
Hopefully I can finish this before end of June!*Sending A Dream Into the Universe*

On the plus side think of all the LGBTQ representation the game has!!! So glad they spent time allowing everyone to adequately represent themselves in a game that they didnt have time to actually add game to. This is what happens when Neogaf mentality runs rampant.

Do you know how to test for an anomaly? I don't remember what the button is, but there is a button that you press to throw a bolts or screw a couple meters in front of you (unlimited), and it can trigger an anomaly, given you time to run through it!Never put off tomorrow what you can put off today!

Thanks for pointing that out, now I know howIts pressing 6 to throw bolts.
I don't see similarities, yes the anomalies are in Metro too but that's about it. Metro and Stalker are not only made by the same people, but both are based on russian novels, and therefore even written by the same culture. They have enough in common to feel similar.Never put off tomorrow what you can put off today!

I said they share that they are based on books (i.e. you saying they are based on russian novels).
I said they are set in the same area of the world with thought out ambiance (i.e. you said they have the same culture).
Seriously dude. You just said the same thing I did in different words.
They do not really play the same at all. One is more open world the other is very focused and linear which is why i said the similarities end where they do.

Working my way through Metro LL 15-30 minutes at a time. These guys know how to build a beautiful game for sure. I wish I still had 3D gear to play it with, and I wish the npc chatter could be cut to a minimum.
Similarities to STALKER? Minimal thankfully, which they should be. Each game world has it's own merit with plenty of good stuff.

Finished
Uncharted 4 lol.. I literally played a chapter a day.. for whatever reason had trouble really getting into it.
I think part of the reason I did not enjoy it as much as I should have is because I could already see the plot before it happend. The pacing was also a bit odd..
And lastly I find it strange that your taking out armies of heavily armed soldiers, and your just a regular guy with dirty clothes on. It really doesn't fit the story at all. I know all Uncharted's are like this but I really felt it with Uncharted 4 probably because they really went out of there way to paint Drake as a normal guy.. just trying to settle down with a women.
I am not sure if thats why I didn't really get into it. I will say I enjoyed some of the cut scenes, I thought they were well done and I loved his GF/Wife, I thought she was great. Top notch voice and amazing graphics and pretty damn good gameplay.
I give it an 8/10
But severely flawed at least in my opinion.
I know video games are not necessarily suppose to mimic reality in any way.. but this game takes it to another level lol.. sorry rant over.

Still playing STALKER, I encountered my first whatever-that-tentacle-guy-called things and killed, damn those things take a ton of bullet to get down. Thankfully I found a secret stash and loaded up some nice AK's an Stalker suit.
This game is a lot faster paced than Metro and aren't linear at all, you just put the piece of puzzle a long the way and getting familiar with keys and whatnot . I didn't liked it as much as Metro but it sure got me hooked to move forward.Originally posted by jimjobobIf 3 fans left the station at 10:30am cooling at a temp of 63c and one fan was derailed by a stray sata cable on the track, how long would it take all 3 fans to get on Seyiji's last nerve?

Argh, MEA is so unbearable that I decided to flash through the main story and get it over with. Not even bothering with the companions side stories. The writing is indeed so bad it feels like someone from the power rangers TV series wrote it. The constant hitching between scenes and UI isn't helping either. The ugly interface and the clustermess that is the currencies. I am trying hard to give the game a chance but it is try hard to piss me off.
Update: And finished. Blurgh what a mess.Last edited by MNB4800; Jun 17, 2017, 08:46 PM.*Sending A Dream Into the Universe*

I replayed Metro 2033 from my last saved games ,which is just before Market station, this game is still great to my book. 980 Ti runs this game like butter at 1920x1080 Very High setting with 4xMSAA. Framerate never dip below 100fps, usually around 120fpsOriginally posted by jimjobobIf 3 fans left the station at 10:30am cooling at a temp of 63c and one fan was derailed by a stray sata cable on the track, how long would it take all 3 fans to get on Seyiji's last nerve?

Cleared a few more areas in Ghost Recon Wildlands. Its getting a bit same-y. This game probably wouldve been lots of fun in coop with friends. Tried public matchmaking but uplay couldnt find any lobbies so I've only done solo. Will try to finish it "quickly" (got the game with my gpu..) and move on to Dishonored 2 which im pretty hype about.ASUS PG279Q | ASUS Strix GTX 1080 Ti OC 2025MHz/12.2GHz | Intel i7 3770K 4.7GHz [Noctua NH-U12P SE2] | 2x8GB G.Skill TridentX DDR3-2400 10-12-12-31-1T | Fractal Design R4 | Be Quiet! More Mass Effect 3, this time with the Expanded Galaxy Mod, most of the DLC, and a ton of texture mods. I hate seeing all the negative feedback on MEA so I'll continue to replay the older ones until there've been some updates to MEA. Playing a Soldier this time which is way more 'hands on' than the classes I usually play (ranged, tech). Fun though. If you haven't played the EGM version, give it a try, changes the whole game in a good way.

More Blizzard Mountain. Finished everything except championship races which I am currently working on. Fun and relaxing game!

Just finished SOMA, really enjoyed it. Usually not big on those you don't get a weapon and have to run away from everything games, but this one was phenomenal. The pacing was spot on, not too much exploration, and not too much running from the bad guys, and the story was cool. I think mostly I just dug the environments, they were pretty awesome.

Finished a night in the woods, more than halfway through sleeping dogs. Grand Tourismo 5 finally clicked with me. First time I ever played a racing game while exclusively using manual transmission.
Damn I've got a lot of games. Gonna need to invest in a new ssd, hdd and backup hdd before I think of any other upgrades.
