Well, I agree about EA Downloader.
I bought it for the first Dead Space and its rock solid.
Never had an issue with any DL service (Impulse, D2D, EA, Steam).
But, in my opinion, the reason PC gaming is dying is piracy and publishers charging console prices for PC games (which leads to more piracy).
Now, I don't believe piracy is the real problem, but I think the publishers think that.
I have yet to buy a PC game for $59, just not going to do it. Unless they are giving me something for that extra $10 over the consoles, then we will talk.
If Dead Space 2 is really 17 gigs big, then it may actually be worth it.
Who knows.
I would bite on the G2Play if they unlocked it on the 25th instead of the 28th.
