Soooo.... just started playing it on gamepass... and... wtf arcane?

Its not the worst game ive played, but its certainly the worst arcane game so far. So many bugs, though thankfully no game crashing ones yet. A lot of really weird graphics issues, and sound issues. Gameplay seems fine so far, but everything else is a mess. I dont think ive seen weird fps variances this bad since stalker clear sky. You cant even play it co-op except with a dedicated friend group, cause only the host game is saved. Its so weird to see this release like this.
Oh and forgot to mention, damn does this game look old...

Anyone else trying it? Hows it going?

What kind of game is this, is it an open world left 4 dead or does it play like an arcane title?


Also, I know graphics are not everything, but releasing a game in 2023 that can look like this is pretty embarrassing.

The game hasn't officially released yet (will be 8PM eastern, 5PM pacific), so it may be missing a "Day 1" patch if you're playing it early. Some people were using the "New Zealand" trick earlier today on Xbox to get access since the system goofed up the release somehow. They shut it down pretty quick and afterward people were getting the message that they had the wrong version. Later in the day a patch was released (at least on Xbox) but if you try to play it now it says it's too early.

I played it after the day 1 patch. Or at least there was a big patch after it unlocked for me. I can still play it now too. The whole game basically looks like the kac pic above, except some places look worse, and there are tons of graphics bugs as well.

This review in progress does not seem to be an outlier, it is reviewing really poorly.

Hopefully they'll be able to patch it somehow to salvage it. Reviews for it have been atrocious. I had high hopes for it since it was made by Arkane and I've enjoyed their other games, so this was a pretty big disappointment.
