    W40K Darktide by fatshark

    So it just released.

Looks pretty good, getting some nice reviews. It's also on gamepass i think, so pretty cheap if you wanna try it.

    Anyone playing it?

I've played almost 10 hours so far, and I'm enjoying it a lot. The gameplay loop is great (as good if not better than Vermintide). The progression needs some work, I think, but they've added some crafting and what not which is okay. Free on game pass but I paid for it on Steam because there is no crossplay at release and also I know I will put hundreds of hours into this and don't want to lose access when it leaves Game Pass.

This came with my new MSI 3060 and I played it for a little while last night. I chose the zealot preacher character (Have Shovel, Will Travel).

DOOM meets Team Fortress 2? I like it so far, even though this isn't really my kinda game.

im confused by the steam reviews on this one. 70% but literally all people ive talked to say its excellent. even on other forums and reviews. i wonder if it just has some jank or a couple bugs pissing people off. or maybe a lot of the reviews are from early beta?

While I havent played much (Game Pass; up till the escape), I found the image quality (4K; full RTX) to be very unstable with texture shimmering that reminded me of my first exp. with Escape from Butcher's Bay. Also Jaggies everywhere.
At-least it precompiles shaders to its credit unlike the dead space wannabe.

Same, game is very shimmery. I also noticed is barely uses cpu with at max only 10% on my 5800x.

Tried it myself now, and its pretty good. Has some nice quality of life stuff missing from vermintide, and the gameplay is good. Weird you cant play solo though. Apparently private servers are coming, but not till later. Definitely a strong recomend to anyone with game pass. 100%
