Unable to Update win10

Anyone else getting this and got past it ? Tried virtually everything, can’t even install windows to fix as it fails... there was one post I found that said change the GUID of the hard disk ? Is that safe to do ?

Wow some big thread on this one when I googled it. Seems like you're at least not alone. You could also try using the Windows 10 update assistant. KB might install once your on a newer Win10 version. Not an ideal solution, but less risky than trying it mess with GUID data.

I had this issue with an earlier update. Tried everything. Nothing worked. Had to reinstall Win10.

Don't give up too soon but just saying I wasted way too many hours trying to fix it.

Cheers, actually had Microsoft on remote assistance and they couldn’t fix it, tried the clear WU stuff which I thought worked but a reboot or two later the same. Tried the upgrade assistant that also failed to install over the existing.

Looks like new install grrrr.

Had the same problem. A new install was the only answer.
