    Some people prefer having a physical copy in case of not having interenet access to DL for reinstall or a format/hard drive crash causes loss of current Office setup.exe. I myself bought Office Ultimate as a student then created my own CD which installed it self with the product key given to me by MS and my name etc..

    I recently discovered that you can download Office 2010 directly from Microsoft. My question is are there any disadvantages of this over buying the retail DVD?
