Any free word type programs?

I've tried OpenOffice for Windows and Linux. Overall it's a robust package, pretty much what you need, MS Office file compatibility, decent speed. I don't use it as the norm because I have MS Office already, but if you're looking for free then this is the way to go.

Another for Open Office... im using it for about 10 machines (will be rolling it out to more) and people have no clue (yes they are really that clueless) on the difference between MS. I had to make some slight customizations of course. But yeah, i have no complaints with it right now... tho i dont know if the hardcore excel/word users have a different say, most of my users only use a basics.
