Probably something's borked from upgrading over and over again - backup your bookmarks, export your passwords with something like Password Exporter, and then uninstall, delete your Mozilla directory inside AppData, and reinstall fresh. It works wonders, trust me

I recently downloaded firefox from the getfirefox.com site. When I clicked on the about option in help, i saw firefox 3.5.1 and then a "funnel" something name, version 0.9. Anyone got something similar? In another computer which has had firefox 3.5 since it was beta it doesnt say that. Difficult to believe they offer a special branded firefox 3.5.1 at that site. I tried the official site and got the same.

Ok, so its a devtool. But why is it mentioned on the about window? It's not on the other firefox releases I downloaded. And another thing. It used to be that for example, if i typed a site's name, like rage3d, on the URL location bar, firefox would make a search, find the most relevant site, and take me to rage3d.com inmediately. Now, well, since 3.5, it gives an error. And sometimes it open a download window when typing such a site's name. WTF???

I'd try a full uninstall. Then search for anything firefox and delete it. Then do a full reinstall.

Thats what i had to do but i had to do it twice as the first time didnt work. Actually, i had to run CCLEANER after the 2nd uninstall. Also its happened to me in the past, dont know why or how, i think it started to happen to me recently because my PC crashed due to a power outtage. From that point on FF wasnt working the way it was supposed to. In the past i dont think i fixed it by uninstalling FF but an update happened to fix it. So save any bookmarks/passwords and try uninstalling. When everything is done and deleted run CCLEANER (Reg cleaner). Once that is done, reboot try reinstalling FF again.

Oh it was bad enough for me to look for a problem report on it tonight. I just installed this plugin as a work around to the problem. Was driving me nuts.
