Loads of 5600x and 5800x in stock here. Pretty tempted to jump on 5800x.

On another note, I bought 4000mhz CL15 Gskill RAM in anticipation of a Ryzen build and it actually performs worse than my Corsair Dominators at 3733 CL15 (1.45v)... Go figure. Gonna have to go through sub timings to squeeze a bit more out of it, but at 1.5v XMP default it doesn't leave much wiggle room.. Not very impressed.

So the bot has been successful now 3x for ryzen 5000 on amazon.

Got me a 5600X and then a 5800X after that. Cancelled the 5600X. Now today, it picked up a 5950X and I cancelled the 5800X.

I don't really need the cores but wth. Why not. Might as well get the best, since I'm going to be on AM4 at least a few years.

Ships Dec 19-23. Hoping they move it up, but I'm not in a huge hurry.

Is TUF a good board to have for overclocking / VRMs. I am very happy with my TUF board but seems that it all went downhill from there. The TUF I have is absolutely dope for overclocking btw given its price range etc. But haven’t heard great things about the X570 version.

Is TUF a good board to have for overclocking / VRMs.

The TUF is one of the best 'budget' X570 boards there is. I bought it because I didn't want to spend 300-400 on a motherboard, and it meets my needs.

My only real complaint is the location of the fan, which is a problem for a lot of the cheaper X570 boards. It hasn't caused me any issues yet that I know of, but it is buried right underneath the GPU if you're using the top slot.

I don't overclock, and generally run my CPU at stock settings. Same with memory.

For a 5950x machine, what makes more sense?

yep, went to check my micro at 11:30, was able to pick up a 3080 tuf and a 5900x for my nephew, they still had at least 30+ 5900x and and 20+ 3080 asus tuff oclock, they had a huge shipment, still a ton of 5600x and 3070's

Yah n/m. I guess most aren't able to run 4000+ clocks stable with 5900/5950x atm. Definitely not worth the trouble then. I'll stick with the pc3600 32gb.

yeah they don't ever list it on the site anymore since they're usually gone by the time the day is over. if you want to check stock, best to join the unofficial discord and check the sub channel in your states, that's how I found out about the major stock drop.

I may check it out tomorrow.

Still debating if I want to go lower in core counts from my 3900 to 5600x.

Canada's stock of both the current graphics cards, and Ryzens has been pretty limited.


Saying this, I was able to pick up a 5800X to go with my 3080 today. Will probably swap out my 1600X tomorrow.

I have the hynix stuff already. The samsung b-die was stupid expensive when I was looking, just couldn't justify it. At this point even if costs have come down, doesn't seem worth it to upgrade for a kit with the same clock speeds and close to the same timings.
